In terms of next updates - Subspecies, new environments and supporting content that uses existing game systems will be the main priority. More Plants, Trees, environmental attractions (water bodies, etc)
New maps that will form the primary game experience
(existing Random maps will be purely optional)
Nature Sandbox Content
i) Tutorials
ii) Quests / more things to do
Fixing bugs and glitches
Improving animations & physics
[/olist]
Since April I have been working for a wonderful tech company based in Netherlands, working on various projects related to Unreal Engine (the same engine that powers this game!). The experience gained via this exposure was absolutely incredible and for DoN this will be truly invaluable in improving the game. I'm personally very excited about this new development phase as it will be possible now to take the game up to the next level of quality and completeness! Once again, my sincere apologies to players for the long absence, but as noted recently on the forums, the financial reality of the situation was such that I really needed the funds to support myself and provide a chance for continued development of the game. I'm pleased to say that is now happening at long last, DoN's development finally resumes! :)
Over the past months several players have written to me saying they really enjoyed the game's music and would like to have access to all the audio tracks outside the game. Celebrating the game's return to development and honoring this request, the game's full BGM set (and there's lot more yet to come!) will indeed be released within a week or so for players to enjoy outside of the game. What's more many of these tracks will be resampled as well as remastered to showcase the game's music in the best possible light!
That's it for now, but stay tuned for more news on the next update! Spring enters the world of DoN again! Green shoots abound amid golden rain. Rainbow flowers peep out of glistening glades Jumping insects frolic, dancing with mates! The morning sun shines on golden drops of dew Drunk On Nectar shall blossom and be born anew! It will be fun to soar through the glades again! My sincere thanks to the game's most wonderful players! With Love - Venu

Drunk On Nectar is a Nature Sandbox game about animals, plants and ecology. Multiple game-modes allow you to either play as a creature yourself, simulate ecosystems or create scenarios of your own.
DoN aims to provide the most comprehensive nature experience gaming has ever seen. To this end, the game has been built at invertebrate-scale (a micro world) for an unprecedented level of detail. Plants in DoN are not flat props but living, growing entities that flower, pollinate and propagate across seasons like real plants. Finally, each species has unique gameplay depending on its morphology.
The current release features four invertebrate species: Jumping Spider (Phidippus Regius), Butterfly (Viceroy), Dragonfly (Common Hawker) and a Bee (Solitary) along with three flowering plants: Orange Lily, Greater Knapweed, Imperata Cylindrica (Grass) and a non-flowering plant: Fern. Trees and other flora are also featured but with only limited simulation at present.
Additional species of animals, plants and ecological phenomena are planned for addition once the game's EA goals (read above) have been met. You are welcome to vote for a creature or plant you're excited about for addition in the community forums!

While no game can possibly cover all of Nature, Drunk On Nectar is a sincere commitment to go as far as one possibly can.
