It's fair to say that, given how late in the year Her Majesty's SPIFFING was released, that we've flew under the radar of most people's GOTY lists (can't think of any other reasons for being omitted)! :P
However, we're happy to announce that the lovely editorial team at IndieDB have awarded Her Majesty's SPIFFING with their 2016 Creativity Award.

Winners of the Players Choice Awards will be announced later today so do keep your eye on the IndieDB website for more information on top indie games.

A few people have reported that they are experiencing a bug crashing the game during the intro sequence. We are looking into this now and are hoping to have a fix in an update very soon. WORK AROUND In the meantime, a work around is to simply skip the intro before reaching the point of the crash (seems to be happening for most when Her Majesty walks in front of the bookcase, about 24 seconds into the sequence). To skip the sequence double click left mouse or double tap the A button if you're using a gamepad before this point. Click here to view the intro sequence for reference. If you're experiencing this leave a comment below and, if you can, email the crash log to hello(at)billygoat.tv. Thanks for your patience, we're a small team so this may take us a few days to sort out, sorry for the inconvenience.

Good, bad or indifferent we've included all the reviews we've came across for Her Majesty's SPIFFING on all platforms and listed them below. For those sitting on the fence this will hopefully help inform you whether it's worth taking the plunge or passing by. From highest to lowest:
- GameReactor UK, 9/10 (PS4) - Now that the credits have rolled we're left hoping for the return of captain English and sub lieutenant Jones (if the game sells well, so says the devs). The writing is very funny and although the game is short, it's full of laughs.
- Twinfinite, 4.5/5 (PC) - The only problem with the game is that I wanted more of it. Her Majestys Spiffing will run you about four hours. Once you reach its end, the game is very clear with the player stating that This story will continue maybe if we get enough sales.
- GameReactor.se, 9/10 (Xbox One, Swedish) - Fantastisk humor, smarta och logiska pussel, msterligt rstskdespel, ljuvliga spel- och filmreferenser.
- Orange Bison, 9/10 (Xbox One) - HM Spiffing stands as a both a tribute to a, lamentably, bygone era and a modern reimagining of how its gaming forbears might look, feel and play now.
- Arabic Gamers, 85% (Xbox One) - ...If you like well made point and click games with a sense of humour then you'll like this. Here's hoping for a sequel.
- Adventure Corner, 83% (PC, German) - Monty Python Fans, kaufen und spielen. Der Humor ist bitterbse und am Punkt.
- Newark Advertiser, 8.3/10 (Xbox One) - Her Majesty's Spiffing has been a fantastic surprise. Small but sweet, it's some of the best British humour I've seen packaged into a game, and a good point-and-click venture.
- IGN Spain, 8/10 (PS4, Spanish) - Una divertida, aunque corta, aventura grfica, repleta de buen humor y con una buena factura tcnica y jugable que no decepciona.
- Brash Games, 8/10 (Xbox One) - Her Majestys Spiffing has a fitting graphic design with unique and amusing characters that come with big personalities and apt voice acting. Youll get more than your fair share of fourth-wall breaking gags to keep you chuckling away.
- Game Grin, 8/10 (Xbox One) - You would never know that this is the first game from Billy Goat Entertainment, from how well polished and written it is. Very funny and filled with pop culture references, it makes you hopeful for the post-Brexit future.
- Alternative Magazine Online, 8/10 (PC) - Her Majestys SPIFFING is very British, very funny and very much worth your time if you love adventure games. Lets just hope enough people buy a copy to keep Captain English afloat in space. After all, we cant let the French win!
- Xbox Achievements, 75% (Xbox One) - Who'd have thought that a game ostensibly about Brexit could not only be so funny, but also provide a selection of clever puzzles to boot?
- ICXM, 7.5/10 (Xbox One) - Great - An excellent piece of kit that offers value for money and adheres to high quality standards.
- This Is Xbox, 7.1/10 (Xbox One) - Her Majestys SPIFFING does a great job as a British tongue-in-cheek take on the likes of Broken Sword and Monkey Island. The graphics are perfect for the aim of the game and the voice-acting and scripting in the game is brilliant for the player.
- Game Spew, 7/10 (Xbox One) - I would like to see more from this series for another great laugh thanks to its smart writing; whether it will materialise is another story.
- Adventure Gamers, 3/5 (PC) - In the end, Her Majesty's SPIFFING is like a story told over drinks at a Club: all digressions and anecdotes, rambling without any great urgency but plenty of charm.

We've been made aware of a bug preventing players from starting a new game from the main menu on MacOS. This bug was introduced when fixing the right click trackpad issue yesterday. We will have a fix uploaded later this morning. WORKAROUND: Before selecting New Game on the main menu:
- Select Options menu, and then go to Controller settings
- Change input to Gamepad and return to main menu
- Select New Game, when prompted to press A button tap the spacebar
- Once the main scene starts (camera passing planets etc) pause the game (hit esc), select options and return the Controller input settings to mouse
Not that you will be able to load your game without any issues from the main menu, it is a bug with the New Game option. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

The Empire Staggers Back
In the wake of political developments during the summer of 2016 and the events that followed, Britain found itself increasingly isolated from global society. Frustrated by the demise of this once great nation Her Majesty the Queen concluded that the elected representatives at Westminster were no longer fit to govern her United Kingdom.Having dissolved parliament, returning the United Kingdom to an autocratic government, improvements were immediate and wide ranging. However, ever the pragmatist, Her Majesty concluded that, given the complications Britain was facing returning to a position of power on earth, perhaps it was time to focus her attention elsewhere...
Establishing S.P.I.F.F.I.N.G. (Special Planetary Investigative Force For Inhabiting New Galaxies) Her Majesty has turned to the stars in a bid to establish a new, Galactic British Empire!
Assuming command of the near futuristic space ship HMSS Imperialise and her crew (distinguished veteran and gentleman Captain Frank Lee English and Aled, his mild-mannered South Walean colleague) YOU will venture into the cosmos, solving puzzles, engaging in witty banter, deal with crippling claustrophobia, gradually succumb to the sustained exposure of cosmic radiation and so on, all for Queen and Country.
Heck, along the way, you may stumble into a few other folks venturing about the cosmos with their own intergalactic aspirations…
