DUNGEONS EVERYWHERE!

Darkness falls across the land. You hear whispering echoes of somethingor someonelooking for help. An airy voice beckons you closer. The gold also helps.

You can't help but follow. Find out what is going on. With your usual Angeldust bravery you battle the creatures surrounding you. But not this one. They are part of 'you'. Plural. Wading through cold fog.

Another whisper disturbs the cold air. "Hoooome." Did you hear that right?! A mysterious thunderstorm acts as an exclamation point to all the chaos that led up to it. Another path reveals itself. You ascend the stairs new challenges await!

Dungeons. Mysteries. Puzzles.
Yes! Angeldust v3.24 brings you radical new stealth and puzzle gameplay, rare and legendary loot, new skill customization options and special rewards.
The Dungeons
Dungeons can be found randomly throughout almost the entire Angeldust game worldexcept for very close to the village. You will definitely notice when you get nearby, see the opening story for hints on how to piece this first puzzle together.
The Gameplay
Contrary to the usual Angeldust spiel of constructing buildings and battling your way through creatures you'll need more tact and cunning to overcome the new challenges you'll find inside dungeons. Look for clues, try different approaches and when push comes to shove, a bit of brute force might help too.
The Loot
Over at PlayAngeldust.com you can closely follow everyone's dungeoneering progress, including yours. Dungeon loot is handed out every 50 dungeon completions. Each hero can obtain a powerful, new item, but the order in which you unlock them is randomized.

Once you've completed 50 dungeons, the first item always unlocks, but you'll need to try each of the four heroes to see what you get. After 100 dungeons you get another item, but again for a random hero. This shakes up Angeldust's 'everything is available' model and it's already a hit with long-time players.
The Skills
Each dungeon allows you to customize your hero's skills a bit more. You're always getting better, but you decide how. This section is intentionally kept vague so you can explore the options yourself.
The Rewards
Every dungeon completion grants you a spendable dungeon point. The PlayAngeldust.com Rewards page now has over a dozen new creature rewards that you can unlock using dungeon points. Get a cool new horse or bear. Or go for the literal big league and unlock the amazing new 'Lector' mammoth to ride on.
The Lowdown
Dungeons offer a great new way to enjoy Angeldust. You can do them by yourself, enjoying the puzzles at your own leisurely pace. Dungeons are not time-limited and can be found multiple times per day. This makes them a great target for grinding and ultimately unlocking all awesome, rare rewards.

Gotta Go Fast (optionally)!
Right. Once you are accustomed to dungeons there's another level of challenge that you can go for. Speedrunning! That's right! Angeldust now has built-in speedrunning for dungeons.

There's a brand new Speedrun player leaderboard at PlayAngeldust.com. Totally optional, but if you like the challenge you can try your hand at sequence breaking, cheating and glitching your way through dungeons. Dungeons are (presumed to be) watertight without total sequence breakage, but individual components can be abused for speed. It's all allowed. ANY% FTW.

As with any speedrun, you'll want to plan and route, optimize movement, use individual hero skills to your advantage and most of all, pray for good RNG. It's a phenomenally fun and addictive way to experience Angeldust like never before!

Better Balls
What is seemingly a small change makes a major impact on the game. Photon balls no longer use a wonky physics model for bouncing off of heroes. They are now directly controllable by looking in the direction you want them to go. This has much finer-grained precision and makes them fun. Finally!

Additional changes in Angeldust v3.24

 • Implemented NPC 'crawling' marker using the flat, horizontal wooden frame
 • Removed Cartoon photon block texture dithering
 • Prevent critical-hit projectiles from flickering the entire screen
 • Cleaned up hero item lists on PlayAngeldust.com
 • Decreased direct-server message latency
 • Made 'Angeldust 3D' available on Google Play Store
