Hey fellow orcs, I've released two new updates 0.1.5 and 0.1.6 for the free demo here on Steam, which consist of a bunch of fixes and also some minor balancing. Especially a bug where customers weren't able to visit the inn is now gone. You can also place a guidepost near the map's border and mark it as owned. Customers will then enter the map there from now on. The full changelogs for 0.1.5 and 0.1.6 are available in the forums. As already announced, Orcish Inn's development isn't funded, so I'm going on a (hopefully) short break for the coming weeks. I will keep you up-to-date on Twitter when I have something to show for you! :) If you have feedback, questions or found any bugs or problems, I'm still around in the forums. Thank you for playing Orcish Inn and your patience! Best wishes, Steven

Hey there,
I hope you had or having an awesome Christmas with your family!
Orcish Inn's pre-alpha is now available as a free demo here on Steam. To add the demo to your library, click on the "Download PC Demo" button on Orcish Inn's store page. Update 0.1.4 made the "Character Improvements" available to everyone, which are upgrades for your orcish barkeeper helping you along the way on setting up a successful tavern. These upgrades can, for example, increase your inventory size or making work drain less stamina. The improvements are bought with knowledge, which is obtained by completing tasks in the "Book of Challenges" but also by reading blueprints and crafting recipes.
You are happily invited to participate in Orcish Inn's Steam community by posting feedback, ideas and questions as well as sharing any problems and bugs with me over there. Don't forget to wishlist Orcish Inn on Steam so you'll get notified on its release and also follow me on Twitter for minor updates and chatter. If you are enjoying the pre-alpha, don't forget to share the game with your friends, favorite writers, Let's Players and streamers! Big thanks for all the support, videos, lovely comments and thanks to everyone involved, including the patrons, who help with the game's funding. You are great!
Best wishes,
Steven

Hey there and welcome to Orcish Inn's presence on Steam! Orcish Inn is a tavern simulation game about orcs and it's in development since 2014. The in-development version of the game is available for free since the beginning of 2015 and after months of work, I just published the most recent version 0.1.1 to the public. It's available for everyone on Orcish Inn's completely re-designed official website and if you ever wanted to play a game which gives survival and crafting a proper context (namely farming crops, brewing beer and setting up your own tavern), Orcish Inn is probably the right choice for you: the new pre-alpha trailer shown here on Steam should give you some idea about how the game looks like in action. Right now, the game can be downloaded as a standalone executable for Windows and Linux, but there's also a launcher app available which keeps Orcish Inn up-to-date. Please keep in mind that Orcish Inn is still in development and both gameplay and content are unfinished. If you were already familiar with Orcish Inn, it's the perfect time to check it out once again. Version 0.1.0 (changelog) introduced a lot of new features and visual updates, including different water types, swimming, biomes like swamps and rock deserts, high walls, roofs and wall attachments like windows, reworked farming and building, many new plant and fish types, a so-called "Book of Challenges" which is both a source of quests with rewards and a tutorial, reworked statuses (hunger/stamina), new tree types, procedural map generation and so much more! The new Steam community hub will be home to future discussions, guides and videos. If you have questions or anything to share or contribute, free free to head over to the hub. Don't forget to wishlist Orcish Inn here on Steam, so you get notified when the game gets released (and no, there isn't any release date or price yet). If you have any questions or problems regarding Orcish Inn, just ask. Best wishes, Steven Colling @StevenColling on Twitter info@stevencolling.com
