I'm happy to announce that we added 2 new localizations to the game - German and Ukrainian. Thanks to Innocentive for the former, he fixed the initial version made by Flarus (seriously, I would not recommend working with them: their prices are low, but the quality is even lower, dare I say worse than unedited google translate). And Ukrainian localization was made by A1one from Ukrainian Translations group. Kudos to you guys!
Apart from those 2 huge additions, in this patch we:
* updated Chinese localization;
* sent French and Japanese localization drafts to our proofreaders (I'll say it again, raw locales by Flarus were really bad) and will soon update them, too;
* fixed several minor bugs;
* improved the game startup time (in fact, I can make it even faster);
* optimised the game to better behave on high-DPI screens;
* added a tiny bit of new stuff related to the next and probably last content update for the game (bear with me for a monent);
* updated all mac, linux and windows builds to latest version, as we finally had full access to all respective systems.
This patch was delayed quite a few times for different reasons. The main one being, we were working on the iOS port of the game. Yep, Pocket Kingdom will be released on mobile platforms as well.
As for the content update, it'll be a developer commentary mode. Many players found the seed mini-quest quite disappointing, because upon its completion they got nothing apart from a small flower sprite (in fact, there was a secret dialogue, but it's still not much). But with the patch 1.1.0 this will change, and bringing seed to its destination will enable a developer commentary mode. You'll see some cool stories on how we started, developed and released the game. Who doesn't like developer commentaries? I loved them in Portal and Half-Life 2.
There are some ideas for more content updates, but we are still not sure about them. The most ambitious one, for instance, is "director's cut" storyline version. The story present in the game is not the one envisioned originally, and some aspects really betray that. But this update's fate heavily depends on mobile release statistics.
And for the smaller updates - an actual modding support. So far the main thing that makes it difficult to use the modding is the manifest file and atlas system. See, the game is not just some static system, it's an engine and a bunch of config files and resources. Remove manifest restriction and add non-atlas images loading, and you'll get a pretty moddable game. Maps, items, a little bit of scripting. But it still needs a bit of polishing before I'd dare to give the modding system to people. ;)
Thanks, Yanrishatum.

The Chief editor of a well-known newspaper once made me an unusual offer. He promised me a great reward in exchange for photographs of one of those mysterious island and the God resting there.
A strange offer to say the least. One I could not refuse however: at that time, creditors was ceaselessly paying me visits. When they threatened to seize my beloved airship to cover my debts, I didn’t think twice and immediately left to start my researches.
Pocket Kingdom is an authentic throwback to the Amiga era. Signature steampunk pixel art, winsome chiptune soundtrack and retro-inspired gameplay with modern twists makes of Pocket Kingdom an unparalleled journey.
Wander around the island's enchanted districts. Unlock access to new areas by collecting objects scattered here and there. Trick gravity, discover helpful devices and listen to the weird stories told by the locals. Getting out of Pocket Kingdom depends on it. So does unveiling the place's mysteries.
