Marinatide Update #1


Hi, everyone. We have just put out the first Marinatide feature update. Hooray! In Marinatide 0.3, we addressed some of the issues that were mentioned in the forum posts and reviews, including the tutorial difficulty, keyboard navigation and Steam Cloud saves. On top of all that, we added Side Quests! You can read more details about the update in our devblog. Have a nice weekend and be sure to drop by the forum and let us know what you think of the update!

  • Major Updates
    • Side Quests
    • Keyboard support improved (rebindable in launcher)
    • Most menus navigable using keyboard
    • Steam Cloud saves
  • Minor Updates
    • Fish on the looting screen no longer completely overlap
    • Dialogue can be skipped by pressing escape
    • Tutorial changes
      • Added an optional fishing quest
      • Tutorial will no longer TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY
      • Endangered fish no longer appear on the tutorial
    • Small bug fixes
    • Misc text edits
  • Bug Fixes
    • Inventory and shop screens should now always start from proper position
    • Loading caused some issues with Fishing devices being able to be looted as soon as they were visible, this should work as intended now

Marinatide is a sea fishing and exploration game, combining elements of strategy and adventure.
You play as Marina — a rookie sea captain and a fishing over-enthusiast, roaming the waters with her partner, Vino, in search of the next big catch. But fishing life is not all breezy: there is a license to get and deadlines to meet. You have to fish against time and earn your keep or it’s all over! Though, there’s always another day...
