Finally our patch is ready. That pesky launch crash really was something!

A tough nut to crack, but thanks to some incredible support, we believe the crashes are gone for good! Now extending an invitation to anyone affected by crashes to join our Open Beta and confirm the effectiveness of this patch. Ah - we've fixed controller compatibility issues too, so feedback here is also welcome!

To join in Open Beta:

Hey Fam! We're back at Typoman after a long pause! First - We'd like to deal with the most pressing issue: A vicious launch crash that some of you encountered with newer Windows versions. After that - You can expect us adding a few nice things now that we took the time to clean up our ancient source code. And better Steam Deck support. steamhappy

Specifically people who encountered this vicious launch-crash-bug. To be honest we have never been able to reproduce it ourselves. We tested on various PCs with different Windows versions and configurations, and it never crashed! Still - I believe we fixed the bug after upgrading the codebase and testing a lot, but we're not very sure. We've been very busy with bringing Typoman to other gaming platforms, it is now available on all major digital stores including the recently launched mobile edition for iOS & Android devices! We've just released a patch with many fixes for issues that we noticed through your much appreciated feedback or while watching some of your awesome Typoman streams and youtube gameplay videos! Our focus was also to improve performance on weaker systems. If you are seeing things such as your character won't keep grabbing letters or a slight time difference between pressing the jump button and the actual jump, please go to the main menu settings and switch resolution to low, turn off other applications that are running on your system in background. Most issues could be solved by turning off expensive and memory consuming antivirus software which are set in a mode to scan your system constantly. Typoman: Revised - Patch 1.3 Release Notes: - VSYNC option added - selectable confirm plate on letter dispensers - sound effect stereo corrections - reset of playthrough achievements bug fixed (apologies, happened sometimes when not playing through in one run which was not intended. important note: the first tutorial use of the Wordscambler does not count of course) - invisible collider removed - minor background graphics glitches fixed - missing climb ledge trigger added in chapter 3 - volume reduced for a very loud track in chapter 3 - words added EVADE, AVOID - more minor fixes and more easter eggs and fun words for you to discover! Until then we will release one or two more patches to fix some bugs which are of non-severe type ...so basically just some blemish treatment, squeezing some pimples.
