City Climber was released on Steam exactly one year ago, so I've decided to upgrade the game's visuals as a little surprise! Game now uses volumetric lighting and bunch of cool postprocessing effects. They can be all turned on/off in the in-game options. I also fixed some bugs and tweaked gameplay mechanics. Don't forget to check out the new trailer and screenshots on the game's store page!

- Improved visuals - Fixed UI not being scaled properly - Improved climbing controls when using mouse / gamepad - Falling objects are now visibly damaged, so you can tell more easily what is not safe to grab - Added new settings in in-game options - Fixed collider in various places, so stuff should be easier to grab. Quick update
- made improvements to the character movement - eliminated shaking hands when reaching for something far away - it`s still a little shaky if you climb in weird places and get stuck :D

I really like that you compete and improve your rank in the leaderboards! Player named "YOSUMIN" currently occupies all the first places so I would like to congratulate him! ːsteamhappyː
New Features
Fast Restart - Just press 'R' or 'Gamepad X' for immediate restart in story levels. Great for speedrunners who want to improve their leaderboard position. Cast model - Some people wondered why did your cast disappear after stage 6, Now it can be seen at the beginning of stage 7, as our climber has super healing abilities and he just doesn`t need it anymore! ːsteamhappyː
Fixes/Adjustments
- fixed typo in main menu - fixed collision zone of electric cable in story stage 3 - made wind in story stage 8 weaker - in story stage 6 you could grab the moving bed through railing (character usualy exploded as it was squished afterwards) Make sure to make a post in our Discussion Forum if you find a bug or if you got an awesome idea how to make City Climber a better game! We are releasing on the next Friday and I would like to talk to you about all the progress that had been made on City Climber since we passed Greenlight.ːsteamhappyː First of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for all the amazing support! I`m working on City Climber alone, so it really helps to see, that there are people who are looking forward to playing it! One of the things you might have noticed, Is that I pushed the release date to a later date maybe 2 or 3 times. Let`s say that one thing led to another... and I have quit my university so I could focus on making City Climber as good as possible. Suddenly I had time to improve a lot of things that I was not happy about. So I did ! It took a while but I`m really happy with the results. ːsteamhappyː See for yourself! There are currently 14 story levels and they usually take around 2-3 hours to complete. I have also implemented Achievements and steam leaderboards so you can compete with your friends and improve your rank!
Trading cards, badges, backgrounds and emoticons will be also available. I have uploaded them to Steam just yesterday! ːsteamhappyː Oh.. I almost forgot! You can also enjoy story mode in local co-op (two controllers), where you play as a robot with two differently colored arms. Each player controls only one arm, so you have to comunicate a lot!
Challenges
Challenges are the "more crazy" part of the game. There are currently 10 leves for each mode, always with some funny new twist. They usually take around 1 hour to complete. Step by Step Objective: roll to the end of stairs!
Leap of Faith Objective: jump from a crane and hit the target below!
Crazy Carts Objective: Ride a vehicle propelled by fire extinguishers and reach the finish line!
Party Mode
Pary Mode is local, turned based competitive multiplayer. You select your characters and each player gets randomly selected set of chalenges he has to complete. Player with the most points wins! :)
(That purple guy is in the middle of his fall :D .. there is an interactive screen like this before start of each challenge. It basically shows, whose turn it is)

I`ve made loads of improvements durning the last months. Visuals and design of the game are better than ever and I`m currently finishing up my work on various physic-based challenges.
This picture is from a challenge mode, where your task is to roll down the stairs. (in this case - while driving a small tractor)
I will be putting together a more detailed article about my progress in the next couple of days!

Hey guys! I know these are pretty sad news. But I had to postpone the release date of City Climber to Q1 of 2017 (early 2017). Main reason for this decision, is that there are massive sales on Steam during end of the year, and small games like City Climber just get lost in all the discounted titles. I`m really sorry about the delay but I just cannot compete againts discounted AAA games during their biggest sales. I hope that you will understand. Otherwise, development is going pretty good and game is really shaping up!
