Were thrilled to introduce a new game we've been working on Nighthold.

Nighthold

is a co-op sandbox RPG with survival elements, where youll need to build shelters, known as 'Nightholds,' interact with survivors, and fight off raiders and the Rot to survive another night. It all starts with a corporate starship crash, leaving the crew stranded on a harsh alien planet. Each night, the Rot rises from the ground a mysterious phenomenon that destroys everything it can reach. To survive, the locals build Nightholds, or elevated shelters. Your ultimate goal is to find a functioning escape pod to send a distress signal, but thats much easier said than done: in addition to the relentless Rot, youll face rival human camps and uncover ancient technologies left behind by a lost civilization. But first of all, you must survive. Open World, Endless Possibilities The open, fully destructible world of Nighthold reacts to your every action, ensuring that everything you do leaves an impact. The game features realistic weather and fire systems: you can set a building ablaze and watch it burn to the ground. Craft, cook, fish, and interact with NPCs who live their own lives, build their own camps, and respond to your decisions. Form alliances, complete quests, or annihilate anyone who stands in your way. The world is alive, and your fate depends on how you engage with it.

Build by Day, Survive by Night

The day is your time to prepare: gather resources, craft tools and weapons, and fortify your Nighthold. But when night falls, the Rot emerges, infecting enemies, buildings, and even people around you. Defend against rotten enemies and control this mighty infection to turn the tide in your favour or succumb to it yourself.

Together or Alone

Survive solo or team up with friends in seamless cross-platform co-op play. Work together to build, explore, and conquer the night or face the challenges of this unforgiving world on your terms.

Compatibility Check Results:

• This game's default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck
• All functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration

We have done great optimisation work because we had not the best performance on Switch. And now we have uploaded this new version to Steam. So, if you have not the best device to play, this update will give you better performance. Also, we have added some not major fiches like Steam Rich Presence for a better experience with friends. Had fixed many bugs. Tuned some quests logic. Now you can change difficulty at any time from easy to hard and back.

Latest updates overview Here is some feature that was added after our release. Now you can choose characters skin color. In generated dungeons, you can find one new deadly monster. In co-op, you can play basket-bomb with your friends. We have fixed many bugs and have improved many game aspects, like UI, quests, performance, controls. Also, we have added the "Report" button in the pause of the game. So, you can send us your problem directly!

STORY

The story tells us about the adventures of the pilot of the airship that crashed under mysterious circumstances. Player’s choices will influence the storyline. You will have to prevent evil plans of villains, find love and change the fate of the world of course.

GAMEPLAY

Dialogues and story development of the game are inseparably linked with the completion of various puzzles and quests. Completing them, the player will be able to take a number of paths with a variety of consequences. Combats with enemies of two types, monsters and men, are intermingled in the gameplay. Each enemy type requires special combat tactics. For instance, monsters prefer sticking to darkness and are afraid of the torchlight. The player will have to use it quite often!
Character upgrade and his skills development are also an integral part of the gameplay. Plus, searching for and management of equipment, weapons and armor.
