Update 1!
[ 2016-04-17 10:19:43 CET ] [ Original post ]
Hi! I've got a few feature request/changes and some of you reported some bugs. Here a short list, what I have done :
- Jump Height Control. It is now possible to press long on the jump key to perform a higher jump, or to press short on the jump key to jump pretty low.
- A maximum velocity on wall jumps against ultra speed.
- Additionally to the master sound slider, there are now also slider for music and sound.
- A rubber in the leveleditor, so you can remove tiles and entities at the same time.
- The race-multiplayer maps are now easier. Furthermore, you can now only shoot balls instead of bullets in the race.
- Multiple language support. For the time being german is now supported, however it is pretty easy to add more languages. If you are interested in translating into another language, mail me. You will get a reward for a nice translation.
- Spiky Trees are now slower so it is easier to pass them, since this was the hardest thing to pass (from what I have seen in Let's Plays and exprience reports)
- Fixed a couple of other issues.

Overview
Slime Jumper is a Jump 'n Run somewhere between Super Mario and Super Meat Boy. It is a cool platformer, where you have to dodge a lot of things, or you must not run into them. On the one hand there are for example spikes, which you have to avoid, on the other hand there are bullets, wrecking balls, etc you have to dodge or use cleverly to pass the level. -
Gameplay
In these level there are 3 stars you can collect. When you pass the level you always get one star plus all collected stars. With these stars you can buy new slimes, which have different abilities, for example jumping higher. You also can place up to 3 (5 in boss level) checkpoints, so when you die, you don't have to start from the beginning. However you will loose all stars, when you die, even if you already collected them and placed a checkpoint, so there is still the attraction to complete (nearly) the whole level at once.
There are 15 level per world. The last level in each world is a boss level!
Totally there are 6 worlds at the moment, so you can play 90 level in the story mode. -
Controls
In contrast to many other platformers the controls are not floaty. Instead they are direct and nice. With your slime you can jump off either from the ground or from walls, which are not slidy. -
Leveleditor
A leveleditor is also included with a Workshop-Integration, so you can create levels upload them and other users can play, rate, etc them. -
Local Multiplayer
Another mode is the local multiplayer, which is a bit like Mario Party. You play against other player in up to (at the moment) 6 different minigames, like "Capture the flag" or "Collect as many stars as you can". The clue here is, that every player can shoot bullets or balls (depending on the minigame), so that you also can play pretty destructive.
Up to 4 players (max 2 on keyboard, max 4 on controllers)! -
