Welcome Solforgers, new and old! It’s 2018 and Solforge is not only still around, but has an ongoing special event: Experiment K. A standalone set of cards can be used in Draft and Phantom Constructed queues. Additionally, an expansion to this event – K1 – is due out shortly. Work continues on the Kaelari created client – KUSC. It now has nearly all functions and is begining to add polish. Whether you’re a veteran checking in on Solforge or stumbling across it for the first time, come check it out and look for the community on Discord( https://discord.gg/ZtNRgwj ) or solforgeladder.com in addition to the main game site solforgegame.com!

- GSF Commando no longer does 2x or 3x damage. It was too easy with the original flavor to stack armor and let him rip. During testing, having him stay at 1x was still pretty potent.
- Nexus Bubble now gives Armor 2 (from 3) to match the rest of the cards from that cycle (every other card gave or did two of something), as well as to limit the amount of “build high armor creatures” abilities are in the game currently.
- Frontline Combatant is now 10/10 with 10 Armor at Level 3. The L3 is rather large and can deal a great amount of damage, so we decided to lower it a bit.
- Forge Guardian Beta now has 2 Armor at Level 1, 3 Armor at Level 2 to give him a bit more survivability.
- Forge Guardian Gamma gains +2/+2 across all levels. This should make the flavorful Guardians Archtype more a bit more viable, but not have them overtake the game.
- Flowsteel Prototype now has Mobility 1 at Level 2, Mobility 2 at Level 3 It has wings, why wouldn’t it fly? Also gives it a bit of a buff.
- Grove Dragon now gets +100/+100 at Level 3, enabling the possibility of a difficult to obtain OTK (one turn kill).
- Chorgias Level 2 is now 0/9, meaning it can no longer survive multiple hits from fellow L2 creatures. It is now also 30/30 at Level 3, which means it now can trade with Iron Maiden.
- Leyline Vermin has its stats swapped across all levels (now 3/6 at Level1, misc etc)
- Demara’s Pitguard is now 4/7, 7/11, 11/16, making it less beastly than before, and making the poison do more of the work.
- Shardplate Toxoid now has reduced poison that is applied at the end of opponent’s turn to 1/2/3. And reduced poison on enters 2/4/6. Toxoid was universally accepted as being oppressive, limiting the poison helps combat this.
- Shardplate Mutant now has Breakthrough at all levels, a boost to “Big Dumb Animal” and Raid decks.
- Othra Level 2 now reads: “When you rank up this gains “Activate: Replace this with a Level 3 Othra“, this gives time to respond to his ability and makes an x.4 Othra 2 far less “swingy”. Also, Othra Level 3 has been changed to 10/30, the 50 health was simply excessive. I think it is a reputable “bomb”. It won’t trade with Maiden or Chrog, but it delivers player poison, has mobility, and you can still get that hatching ability as well.
- Lug, Uranti Charger now has Mobility 1 at Level 2, Mobility 2 at Level 3., in order to give the card a bit of a boost to help trigger it’s effect.
- Phoenix Call – the Cyrophoenix now has Mobility 1 at all levels. it made sense thematically, it’s a bird. The mobility also helps with the random (RNG) nature of the card.
- Agamemnon is now 4/10, 8/20, 12/30, his ability makes more sense with higher defense. Also will now work well with Slumbering Shrine.
- Ignir now triggers at the start of your turn, not the end. This gives people a chance to respond to his ability before it triggers. We’ll be keeping an eye on him closely to see if we need to tune his stats a bit if he falls to the wayside completely.
- Uranti Icemage now grants Defender to any creature for a turn. This brings Yetis back to being a budget friendly deck people can lean on.
- Pyre Song wording changed, no functional change.
- Doomrider receives +1/+1 to it’s stats at Level 1, and +2/2+ to it’s Level 2 and Level 3 stats. The deck and techniques used to exploit him are no longer present, so we thought it would be good to raise his stats a bit.
- Vengeful Spirit now deals -4/-4, -8/-8, -12/-12 (from -3/-3, -6.-6, -9/-9)m, which essentially makes it operate as removal “on a stick”.
- Steelscale Dragon is now called “Steelcale Engine”, and is no longer a Dragon-type creature.

Now is the calm before the storm as they say. All four factions are preparing for a war like they've never seen. They are now fortifying their armies by awakening ancient beasts that have been slumbering for decades, and using powerful magic they dare not use unless the situation is dire. This will be the war for control of Solis and everybody is ready to FIGHT! Darkforge Uprising: Prelude to War includes eight all new cards. One Heroic and one Legendary for each faction. Also two brand new pre-constructed decks containing four of the new cards in each which are available for purchase here. http://solforgegame.com/shop/ Also there is a brand new card pool for draft that promises to change the experience a lot. You can see all the cards in the draft pool here. http://solforgegame.com/draft-pool/

In the last set we saw the Darkforged unleashed upon Solis and how much chaos they could cause. The appearance of this new evil force shook alliances to their core and caused each faction to retreat from one another, unsure of who they could trust. Loyalties will be tested! The time for teamwork with other factions has passed and in this new set we get a chance to see the power each faction can have on its own. In this release each faction is getting one new Heroic and one new Legendary. Also each faction will be getting a week dedicated to them with a faction specific Legendary Chest as well as a mono faction pre-constructed deck containing the two new cards. Here is the Schedule: Thursday August 13th: Nekrium Release Thursday August 20th: Alloyin Release Thursday August 27th: Uttera Release Thursday September 3rd: Tempys Release

Hello SolForge fans! Today is a very exciting day that we know you have been awaiting for quite some time. We certainly have! We've just released a major update with a bunch of major new features. Let’s take a look at the list, shall we? IPHONE CLIENT We’ve envisioned SolForge as a mobile game from the beginning. We’ve always wanted to create a complete collectable game experience we could carry with us and play wherever we go. Now that dream is finally a reality. This latest update brings the complete SolForge experience to iPhone, allowing you to carry SolForge with you in the palm of your hand. You can battle with your friends across the country over lunch, tinker with your favorite deck while waiting for the bus, and pass the time in your boring classes by cracking booster packs. Or, if you’re anything like us, now you have a new favorite way to spend your time in the bathroom… Due to screen size constraints, some features such as the deck builder look a bit different on iPhone, but all of the major components are there, so you can take the full experience of SolForge wherever you may go. For those of you without iPhones, do not fret – our Android client is well underway, and we plan to begin the beta for it very soon. TOURNAMENTS Think your deck is the best around? Want to test your skills in a competitive environment? Well, you’re in luck. The new update introduces tournament play, which allows players to compete against one another for prizes. Tournaments in SolForge are unlike those in many similar games in that you never need to worry about setting aside a big block of time to play. SolForge was designed from the ground up to be mobile friendly, and tournaments are no different. No need to wait around for other players to finish their rounds or for enough players to enter the event. You can play your rounds in a SolForge tournament whenever is convenient for you, and you’ll be paired against someone else at a similar place in their event. Once you finish your three matches, which you can complete over the course of days if that’s what you want, you’ll receive prizes based on your results. Entering tournaments requires Event Tickets, which can be purchased with either Gold or Silver, as well as earned through daily rewards. All players receive prizes, and players who go undefeated in a tournament are guaranteed to receive at least enough Event Tickets to enter another tournament of that type as part of their prize. Once we have some time to ensure our tournament system is running properly, we'll have more news to bring you about the Backer Only tournament. We are currently aiming to hold it in the first quarter of next year. For more information about tournaments, visit www.solforgegame.com/tournaments DRAFT MODE As competitive collectible game players ourselves, one of our favorite things to do is draft. Drafting is a special kind of tournament in which you build your deck as you go instead of choosing one of your saved decks to play. This not only creates a level playing field for everyone no matter how long they may have been playing or how big a collection they might have, but also means that you have a totally new experience each time since you’re always playing with a different deck. It’s also a great way for players to grow their collections, since in addition to whatever prizes you might win, you also keep all of the cards that you draft. Much like the rest of the SolForge experience, drafting is designed to be conducive to the mobile experience. You can draft wherever and whenever you want, and you don’t have to wait for a queue to fill or for other players to make their picks. The evaluations of other players still impact your draft, however. The algorithm used to generate the content of draft packs takes into account how frequently cards are picked by the community at large, so if you correctly identify a hidden gem, you’ll have a chance to grab them with your later picks. We’ve been having a blast testing out the SolForge draft format over the past few months, and we’re incredibly excited that the rest of the world is going to have a chance to experience it too. The concurrent release of both drafting and the iPhone app means that you can always be drafting wherever you might go! If that isn’t exciting, I’m not sure what is! For more information about drafts, including a video walkthrough, visit www.solforgegame.com/tournaments. NEW AND UPDATED CARDS The update introduces twenty-four brand-new cards across all rarities, including six from each of the four different factions. These cards are now available from packs that are purchased from the store or acquired through daily rewards. These new packs can be identified in your inventory by their new artwork. Additionally, changes have been made to a number of existing cards. These changes were made to improve gameplay in both Constructed and Draft play. For a full list of the changes, view the full patch notes on our website. While we still have quite a few features we want to add to SolForge before we’ll consider it truly complete, this update is a huge step in that direction. We appreciate your support as we build this game we all love. Without our fans, SolForge would have never happened, and now people can draft from their phones! While we’re thrilled to have come this far, we have no intentions of resting on any laurels. We’re already hard at work on the second SolForge set and more features, which include tools for us to be able to introduce new content faster in the future. In the meantime – we hope you enjoy playing SolForge this holiday season! We certainly will!

That’s right – it’s the moment you all have been waiting for. As of now, SolForge is now LIVE in the real world in Open Beta! We’ve been pushing toward this moment, and it’s finally here. Head over to the app store on your iPad or Steam on your PC now and start playing absolutely free! WHAT’S NEW IN THIS UPDATE? Complete SolForge Set One We’ve been hard at work testing and balancing the approximately 180 cards that will make up our first real release. If you have been having fun exploring the deck building possibilities in SolForge so far, just imagine what it’s like now that the number of available cards has tripled and you can try out all kinds of new cards and combinations. Booster Packs and Collection Management With this new update, you can start building your collection in earnest. The SolForge store is now live, where you can buy booster packs to expand your collection. Any early access rewards and pre-ordered packs will be in your collection as soon as you log in. There are three different kinds of booster packs in SolForge – the Basic pack, the Normal pack, and the Premium pack, with varying costs in SolForge currency. These packs have different numbers of cards and distributions of rarity to give players more flexibility looking for the cards they want for their collection. The Normal pack is the version that we have previously explained, with 8 cards across three guaranteed levels of rarity and a chance to contain the highest level of rarity. This is the kind of pack that is included as part of the Early Access rewards and 20 packs for 20$ promotion. Free-to-Play Up until now, SolForge has only been available as a limited beta. With this update, however, we’re going entirely free to play and open to the public. As we’ve said all along, we plan to make it possible to play and enjoy SolForge without spending anything at all. To that end, this update includes ways for players to earn content just by playing. Every day, you’ll be able to earn three different rewards – for simply logging in, completing games, and winning your first game. Every account will also begin with two all-new free starter decks. These are two-faction decks designed to introduce players to SolForge. The cards in these starter decks are a part of the player’s collection and will provide a basis on which to build new decks. Cross Platform Play With this update, we have brought both PC and iOS platforms in sync, so each will have all of the same features. Not only that, but you can now access your account on any supported device, and play against any of your friends, no matter whether they’re playing on PC or iOS. Game Timers Looking to play a quick game? Tired of opponents who stop playing when it looks like they're beat? The new update has you covered! We have added the option to play timed games, with a clock that counts down while it is a player's turn to take an action. If the clock runs out, that player forfeits. What are you waiting for? Your clock is ticking! Go play SolForge now!
