UPDATE RELEASED (v5.3.8): COOLDOWN AND LOCATIONS!!
new COOLDOWN mechanics - majority of spells have a cooldown. This has been introduced mainly to encourage the use of a variety of spells (not just Fireball-Fireball-Fireball). I hope this will make series more interesting:
update: all LOCATION ICONS were coloured and replaced in AOF2 and AOF3. The map is much more colourful now:
new item type: HEADGEAR - all crowns, helmets, face masks, etc. go there (so amulet slot remains free). There is a number of additional items in progress:
new icons for: Royal Guard and Greater Banshee
new: Wasp Nest - it’s similar to Wyvern Eggs but spawns Wasps when destroyed:
Killer Wasp and Nestnew: Petrification for Nagas - instead of being killed, the unit is turned into Stone (with 1 HP and physical resistance)
new: Marker for targets if unit has MultiAttack and has moved (helps to see which units are targeted between Undo-ing)
update: unit will regenerate Morale if it’s left idle and unblocked at the end of a turn
update: Luck gives unit a 50% chance of surviving a killing blow (Goblins + Dryads)
update for goto-random-battle and goto-random-shop - now you can specify the next level (or on-win and on-lose levels for battle). This is for modders only - therefore you could now use those commands to build a whole procedurally generated campaign if you wish so :)
update: Imps are recruitable in Chaos campaign (they are also summonable)
balance: Unicorn appears earlier and is balanced better
balance: Power Concentrate immediately gives +3 MP and then regenerates +3 MP per turn
balance: Divine Shield gives physical resistance, mind spells immunity and also gives 3 HP (temporary). Magic Points cost lowered to 3 MP
balance: Magic Burn Attack immediately burns 3 MP and the following Magic Burn has -3 MP for 2-4 turns. It should finally become useful
balance: all Demons have Fire Resistance (native or as upgrade)
balance: Stoneskin, Hypnotise, Weakness have reduced duration to 2/3/4 turns
balance: Holy Light and Curse have Attack bonus -2 (from -3)
balance: Magic Resistance/Magic Immunity prevent 1 Magical Damage
balance: some units have Magic Vulnerability (+1 damage received from spells)
bugfix: dead units were regenerating magic points
bugfix: healing spells don’t work on Demons
bugfix: items’ dependency chain (if item is removed, other items will be removed too if they depend on skill generated by first item in chain)
bugfix: attributes on killed polymorphed unit will expire normally

Hi all,
This patch is full of enhancements, optimisations and improvements - we have been working hard over a number of months to make the game look better. We also continue to work on Global Events, Player Bases and a few novel mechanics.
