Age of Fear 3: The Legend is a refreshingly fun strategy title that marries a tabletop wargame with elements of RPG. The game features a huge variety of units, a novel hex-free battle system, morale and flexible multiplayer.

FEATURE LIST

Two long scenarios - play as a beautiful dryad or a drunken dwarf lord in story driven campaigns!
Hex-free battle system - units are no longer constrained to artificial grids. Unit's size matters too.

Easy to Play but Hard to Master - Age of Fear is very easy to pick up but with deep and emergent strategy.
Low hardware requirements - the game will even work on that old laptop of yours.
Permanent death - all characters that fall in a battle will stay dead - unless an evil Necromancer raises them as Zombies!
Diverse enemy roster - game features 160+ unique units with over 250 different spells and skills.
AI behaviour is modelled on a neural network system and influence maps. Age of Fear has probably one of the most advanced strategic AI's ever created!
Items and artifacts - there are over 100 unique items in Age of Fear, which are randomly distributed. Items not only give bonuses, but also unlock powerful skills and spells.

with this patch we have added many internal changes in preparation for the next game in the series. There was also a number of bug-fixes and balance adjustments as below:

CHANGE LOG:

NEW: 20+ new soundtracks were added to the series. We will certainly use them in our new games.[/b[
NEW: For modders - all games of the Age of Fear series now contain old units portraits and other assets. There is unused folder resourcesformodels' folder within aof-data.zip where you can find those.
UPDATE: Visual enhancements on World Map.
UPDATE: Items count is not shown if there is zero or one item.
UPDATE: Mini-games (Dices, Cups, Fishing, etc.) exits to previous level.
BALANCE: Stealth (previously Infravision) - moving unit will awaken only nearby enemies.
BALANCE: Coward adds +1 turn to Panic.
BUGFIX: Bestiary was not updating correctly when a new unit was seen.
BUGFIX: Clumsy doesnt work with Segmented Move.
BUGFIX: Skeletal Beast cannot use armour, helmet, etc.

ONGOING FEATURES:

ONGOING: Creating - yes, you read correctly. We finally implement craftsmanship. Recently we implemented stackable items feature which will be also used for resources. We are working on many resources, such as plants and metal ore, as well as special skills for heroes, such as Alchemist, Blacksmith, Jeweller, etc.
ONGOING: Ashlands is another type of environment we are working on. After expanding the world map and adding deserts, we found that lava levels do not match the gray areas near volcanoes; that's why we decided to create a new unique area.
ONGOING: The invisibility mechanics are already coded, but requires more testing for AI to learn this function. Invisibility will add surprise to your battles and break your tactics! Get ready for the unexpected!
ONGOING: Ratmen Faction - we are creating a new faction based on stealth and treachery. Stay tuned - more news will follow!
ONGOING: The Age of Fear 4 - the main story is already written and we are working on scripts and game flows, as well as illustrations. The release is planned for 2020 and we will definitely publish even more news.
