Hello spaceBOUNDERS!
We have a very small and quick patch for you today! For our launch patch we tried to make it clear that Online Network co-op is not a fully functional feature that was not being advertised anywhere and was only in the game for the brave-hearted. It was not something that we considered to be an actual feature priced into the game, but we thought we might as well leave it (with a disclaimer, and without advertising) rather than get rid of it all together. Sadly, we have done a very poor job of making it clear that Network Coop is simply still a work in progress "perk", so as of this patch we have removed all Online Network Coop from spaceBOUND. Thank you so much for all of your support! We love hearing all of the good times people are experiencing with spaceBOUND and we love watching all of the great YouTube videos being made.
Patch Notes
- Info bar now pops up with scrolling text when a skin has been unlocked
- Online Network Coop has been removed

Hello spaceBOUNDERS!
We have finally arrived at version 1.0! The official Steam Launch build has finally left Early Access! We are so happy hearing your feedback, both online and offline and we hope you love the latest patch! In this patch we have fixed up some final visual issues, crushed and handful of bugs, and improved a bunch of stuff behind-the-scenes. Important Note: Network co-op is still an ongoing process and something we continually strive to improve. For these reasons, network functionality is not considered an official “feature” or something we currently advertise spaceBOUND as having, nor will it be priced into the game. It’s simply there as an added bonus for those who requested the functionality.
Patch Notes
- Level 21 received a major art overhaul of the level
- Fixed minor layering issue on level 22
- Added new sounds to the final scene of the game (after the final boss)
- Added new sound for the compactor boss!
- Fixed layering issues on the final scene
- Fixed an issue where players could accidentally fly off of the final scene into the abyss
- Fixed info bar layering issues (you can see the info/stat bar by holding shift
- Fixed bug on credits transition from final scene where you would hear a tether snap
- Fixed a rare bug that would either prevent you from entering the skins menu or from exiting the skins menu
- Fixed bug where steam would not shutdown properly
- Named final few steam achievements that did not have names
- Huge network overhaul that should improve well-connected games
- Improved Network Menu
- Can now host a steam lobby that will connect you with your buddy (recommended host port is 7777)
- Network input fields will now have their placeholder text turn red if you have not input the required information
- Join Steam button in Network Menu will bring up the steam overlay

Hello spaceBOUNDERS!
It has been some time since our last Early Access update, but the time has finally arrived! Woo! There are a lot of fixes in this patch, along with some "first stage" multiplayer updates that we hope to have fleshed out by next week. Remember, multiplayer is still considered experimental during Early Access. We hope to have a fully functional version as soon as possible! Anyways, here are the patch notes!
Patch Notes
- Added "Host on steam" button which will allow you to start a lobby on steam. The connection is still P2P so you and your buddy will need to have the appropriate ports (set by you) open. Note: When you press the "Host on Steam" button, it takes about 5 - 10 seconds for it to load up. We will put a loading screen soon :)
- Regular hosting will bypass the lobby and let you run traditionally over a local network
- Fixed bug where network port would still be in use after hosting
- Invite button added to mp level select. After starting to host on steam, you can then invite your steam friends (the invite button is 'I' or the windows/options button on a controller)
- The host can now specify what port the game will be communicating through. The client should join through the same port
- Cursor now automatically enabled when entering network mode. It is also disabled when exiting the network menu
- Miscellaneous art fixes to levels 0, 1, 2
- Fixed cursor visualization (press v to toggle the cursor)
- All levels now have the controller tips
- Left trigger now activates the info bar (stats) instead of the left bumper
- Left shift now activates the info bar (stats) for keyboard
- The info bar (current level statistics) will now only stay up for as long as you are holding the button
- UI fixes to levels 7, 8, 9, 12, and 14 related to the info bar
- Time trial mode now exits properly when quitting to the main menu
- Players can no longer “escape” boss level two
- “Big ass lasers” on Boss 3 are now intermittent and the level is much more difficult
- Boss 3 now has a music trigger that starts a boss track
- Fixed colliders on right side of Boss 3
- Fixed continuous countdown timers on bombs on Boss 3
- Added arrows to Boss 1
- Fixed layering issue on Boss 1 door
- Fixed issue with asteroids breaking on objects that they shouldn’t be breaking on collision with
- Fixed issue on level 3 where first time “cinematic” on button press would vary based on performance. Now it should be the same always
- Fixed issue on level 14 where the grav beam was set to off. Now it is on and the puzzle can be completed properly.
- Fixed issue that was making button pressing difficult on certain levels. Now it should be much easier to press and keep a button pressed.
- Fixed issue where object was raycasting to infinity on level 13
- Fixed platform on level 14 so that it moves at the same rate regardless of the performance of your machine
- Fixed rare issue where pressing reset during transition would mess up spawn points
- Fixed issue where you could pass level 6 without actually entering the level
- Fixed missing collider on level 8
- Fixed issue where only one player could zoom out/in on the level select menu
- Fixed issue where pause menu would not appear on Boss 1 and level 11
- The pipe usable for slingshots on level 8 no longer has friction
- Fixed the camera view size on level 9
- Fixed issue where the main menu was loaded several times from the splash screen
- Synchronized movement of saws on level 8

That being said, here are the entire patch notes below!
Patch Notes
- More Achievement "temp" names have been given actual names
- Fixed issue that would occasionally reset your game data when you start the game
- Now, when you press LB/L1 on your controller a menu will pop up displaying the controls
- Fixed issue where the stats bar that appears when you find a collectible or beat the level would not disappear. It now disappears appropriately.
- Fixed issue where the scrolling text (on the stats bar) would not display desired text

Two astronauts have crashed on an asteroid. Their ship is destroyed. Together they must explore an abandoned mining facility in search of an escape. The catch? They share an oxygen tether. If one astronaut dies or the tether breaks, they both die.
Face brutally-difficult puzzles alone or with a friend.
In spaceBOUND, players solve challenging motion and physics-based puzzles while avoiding deadly obstacles in zero-gravity. Delve the depths of the mining facility by yourself, or work with a friend to solve each level’s mysteries and get your astronauts out alive.
Blast off to the past.
spaceBOUND takes players back to the golden era of retro gaming. The game is 16-bit through-and-through, from its artwork and design to the unforgiving puzzle and motion-challenge difficulty.
Features:
- Solo or Co-op gameplay (local co-op and online). Online available at full launch.
- Hidden collectables, unlockable character skins, and player achievements.
- Time Trial mode to challenge hardcore players. Compete with others using the online leader-board.
- Grab a friend! spaceBOUND supports up to two controllers for local co-op play.
- A steep difficulty that punishes players in new and unexpected ways as they advance. Think and act quickly, or your astronauts may die. Over and over.
- Five ultra-hard boss levels that put reflexes, skill, and cooperation to the ultimate test.
- Timeless 16-bit artwork and effects designed to evoke a past era of classic gaming.
- Progressive puzzles that require learning, adapting, and solving varied challenges in rapid succession.
- An intense and atmospheric ambient score in the style of classic action and science fiction thrillers.
- Many, many gruesome ways to die: asteroids; deadly lasers; gears and saws that shred everything in sight; electric ropes; lock-on turrets; pulverising smashers; gravity beams; and other deep space horrors nearly beyond comprehension.
