Early access has ended: Majestic Trials was released today. More to come.
This is a fairly large update and introduces the final major feature, riding (mounts). All trials have unique music tracks, and progress to a 1.0 release is near.
Changes since 0.97-9:
We've halved the price for Steam's Summer Sale, so if you want in on early access this is the time. We're making the final push to get out of early access, with most features and content finalised for the full release and we're still keen to have your input. Drop by the discussion boards and myself and Ms. K will welcome your thoughts.
This update includes new music tracks for three of the trials and some important bug fixes, including key mapping not initialising properly.
Development of Majestic Trials has slowed down alot here in the Citadel of Doom, because of life stuff n things, but rest assured we have not abandoned the game. We're still plugging away at a chunky update before making the push for a full release.

Magical attacks should now prove more effective when you use the right spell on the right target. There's some additional combat log messages to give you a better idea of spell success and failure too. And the weight of loot and creature inventory capacities got a much needed re-balance. Which means you can carry more loot!
This is a big one!

The next update of Majestic Trials will not be removing loot boxes. Whilst the content of chests, crates and other loot containers is somewhat random, you are not rewarded loot boxes, nor do you have to pay to get them. They're scattered liberally around all maps and you need only deal with any gribblies guarding them. You might also need a key to unlock a locked one. (This is a joke poorly disguised as click-bait.)

One of the great things about being in early access is you have the opportunity to influence the design of the game. We're currently openly discussing the mechanics of melee combat and we'd love for you to come give us your input and join in the discussion: http://steamcommunity.com/app/638060/discussions/0/1489992080505524007/

Lots of little UI improvements in today's update. Spell damage has been revised, restoring effectiveness that was reduced by the melee changes in our last update. There's now more hints, covering some basic gameplay when you first enter a trial, and a bunch of small bug fixes you don't need to care about.
The latest update includes a new damage model, improving melee combat outcomes between different creatures. Opponent wizards now have unique spell lists, the Favours screen is less boring and audio processing got some optimisation, so sound and music quality should be improved.
We've started to add some hints to help those new to the game for creating their Wizard and beginning their ascension to the ranks of the Majestic Few. We've also given the Trial of Troglodytes a thorough polish and re-balance so you actually choose it over The Trial of Dagger Docks. The Trial of Ledges also got a makeover and balance pass. And that annoying cave corner in the Trial of Talon Tower got fixed. Enjoy!
Today's update includes the zombie pirates getting a captain and the assassins a master, in the Trial of Dagger Docks. Feedback on the target of a melee attack has been improved. An issue with creatures spontaneously combusting has been fixed. And a few other less spectacular bug fixes.
Today's update includes two new level 1 wizards, a number of improvements to the AI that will make your wizard's life more... challenging (hint: your flying scouts aren't as safe as they used to be), and a helpful warning when you try to start a trial without any spells. Have fun!
Early access to the Majestic Trials is now available, on PC, Mac or Linux. A Steam discussion forum is available for conscientious wizards to leave reports of malfunctioning magic or to suggest changes or additions to arcane processes, which our crack team of mage librarians will regularly visit.
The last couple of weeks we've been insanely busy getting the game ready for launch and Valve have now confirmed that Majestic Trials is not malware and will not burn your house down when you install it. You Are A Wizard! Tomorrow.
Since Steam seems to have forgotten all the lovely stuff I've been posting to the Community Hub for the game, here's some links to where you can find it: Guides http://steamcommunity.com/id/alphastrikegames/myworkshopfiles/?section=guides&appid=638060 Artwork & Wallpapers http://steamcommunity.com/id/alphastrikegames/images/?appid=638060&sort=newestfirst&browsefilter=myfiles&view=imagewall
It's been a crazy busy year but we are very proud to present our game, Majestic Trials, to the Steam community. We'll be 'coming soon' for a couple more weeks then entering Early Access. If you have questions about the game, please drop by the discussion board and we'll try to answer them.
