Physical Edition - Progress Report
The head count was taken, the support has been found, the logistics sorted, prototypes created, and today I have begun preparing the Kickstarter page.
See the sea on CD in 2D! I've prepared everything that can be designed or decided well in advance of beginning the crew funding to make the wait time between taking pledges and shipping shorter than Benjamins life expectancy. What lies before your creativity bereft eyes are the first samples of the main box, the game and soundtrack CD designs, sleeve designs, and the manual. Perfection at its finest and I'd bet your last doubloon that you won't be disappointed.
Imagine whipping this bad boi out for everyone to see. For those of you who are brave enough to fly the black flag and declare war against the world, the Joyless Roger will be the second tier reward. I've hinted a bit about the third tier reward. Feeling bold enough to hazard any guesses?
There have been many ideas and suggestions for stretch goals and rather than leaving them to be prioritized by the bumbling hands of a hat holding nincompoop, I'd like you lads to rank some here! Restoring cut content would undoubtably be the most requested feature. To pull out my cutlass and engage with the enemy that is whatever the devil I was thinking during development last year would likely begin coding battles that could last for months and I would be sure to have the new features playtested for a month before goldmastering the game to never be updated again. How patient are(n't) you? I'll use your feedback to plot a timeline. The next time you hear from me I shall have a Kickstarter page for you!
Welcome aboard! You can make yourself useful by etching an honest review onto the store page. If you wish to have Caribbean Sail related information shoved down your ear canals every time it surfaces, join the verified Victorian Clambake Discord server: https://discord.gg/clambake Fair winds to you all! - Your Captain, Evan

Your input is desired! ...by someone, for once, finally.

Be the Captain of your own ship in the 1700's and make decisions that will determine your fate. Control everything from food rationing to amputating limbs. Sail for the British Navy or rebel and become a pirate. The lives of your crew are in your gout ridden hands.
Gameplay Overview
Name your crew, choose your profession, purchase a ship, stock up on supplies, and then set sail at the mercy of the wind. You'll encounter pirates, storms, disease, starvation, and death more as you sail 4,341 miles of open ocean.Survive the voyage and arrive in Nassau to have your captain's name uploaded to the leaderboard! If you fail and die horribly, you may leave behind a message in a bottle that you'll find as a marker on your next voyages.
Each vessel matches the speed of it's real life counterpart which will give you an accurate depiction of how difficult and tedious a journey across the ocean was in the age of sail. You could enjoy a casual experience on a Frigate as you fly across the waves and decimate pirates in a War Galleon like a rich ponce- or -Suffer a HARDCORE challenge on the Raft and struggle to feed your men daily while your vessel crawls along so slowly you'll BEG the wind to pick up.
