Hello everyone,
I think I have to admit that I don't have much time to develop ColdSpace and I have to open my door to another projects.

Because of that want to make ColdSpace available for free.

To achieve that and to not get expenses I've changed the network model from Dedicated Servers to Listen Host. That's mean someone suppose to press "Host Game" button before you can join (You can press by yourself, and someone might join you). There is no dedicated servers anymore.

On the side note, to somehow show original idea of the game, I am adding the level called Heaven. This level is much closer to original idea of Cold Space, and we literally made a wrong turn started to do very saturated levels.
Maybe in the future I will find some energy to move that project further. I am developing ColdSpace2 sometimes keeping in mind mistakes I did in current game.

Anyway, it was a fun ride, and I still think that ColdSpace is unbeatable simple instagib game with best instagib mechanics.

Long time no see, spacemen. It was a hard two months, but we are finally releasing a new map Saturn (actually this is a Saturn's moon). Layout will be felt pretty familiar, but with our double jump mechanic and shields this map reveals the full potential.
We also added a map voting system, that’s mean you can play on your favorite maps as much as you want. Check ingame menu.
Our bots now jump better, so no more grinding on Mars.
We fixed an achievement bug, so if you have all 42 items just complete one match to get your Doomsday Devices achievement.

I don't know the reason why our game is not available anymore for purchase and why our servers are shutted down by Steam.
I've created a ticket in dev support, but it will take some time to sort this problem out.

In worst-case scenario we will migrate to GOG with our own master server.
Some good news, I almost finished a new map. It will be a Saturn's moon. The only problem left is to teach bots to use the jump pads ;)
And of course new update means sale, so if you going to buy this game, wait for a while and buy additional copy to your friend as a gift.

1. Friendly bots are enabled, and now bots know how to use their shields.
2. No more main menu between the levels, you will be transferred automatically to the next map.
3. Player statistics added. Now you always know how good you are.
4. We have three new crazy items. You will get them for every 100 kills.
5. Old crosshair is finally back (with two more requested by community).
6. Double jumps are smooth, even with high ping.
7. We are testing macOS support now, so you can try it and leave a feedback in community discussions.

* Houston! Houston! We have a voice chat! Now spacemans can transmit their voice. Volume can be adjusted in settings. Default key to start a transmition is set to Caps Lock.
* You know that feel when you join a server to find out that game will finish in 8 seconds? Forget about it - server browser now displays remaining time of the match.

We've finally updated to latest Unreal Engine and fixed bugs you reported. What do we have now.

1. Game is available on Linux platform. Linux version works only with Nvidia videocards.
2. Borderless mode. Use it if you have green bars all over the screen. It's known issue with Nvidia cards.
2. Resolution scale to control performance in borderless mode.
3. Controls can be reset to defaults. Press it once if you had problems with zoom in/zoom out on mouse wheel.
4. You can disconnect from the game on Choose Team screen.
5. We've added new badge with Tux as common item.
