We're sorry to inform our fans that unfortunate circumstances have led us to delay the launch date of Opus 1: Social Justice War. On January 16th, our SVN server was hacked and several commits from our master branch were destroyed. Since we had no backups, we tried as hard as we could to redo all the missing parts, but we couldn't do it in time. As such, the game's launch will be postponed of one month. The new release date is 27/02/2018. Thankfully, 95% of the game is intact and we still have the GDD, thus we only need 1-2 weeks of work in order to finish the game... again. The hack in particular relied on the newly discovered Spectre vulnerability. From what we can understand, the attacker (whose IP seems to come from West Russia) exploited Spectre in order to read the Admin password. Our coding team didn't actually know about Meltdown and Spectre, since their discovery is very recent and we didn't even have the time to read about it in the last three months because of the game development. Needless to say, if you haven't either, be sure to check this link, and be sure to UPGRADE THE LINUX KERNEL AND YOUR WEB BROWSERS TO THEIR LATEST VERSIONS! Seriously, tell this to everyone you know who works in the IT industry. We will also update the system requirements: because of the patches to mitigate the bugs above, it seems like our game is running about 10% slower. We will make the proper tests and update the info on the store page when done. Luckily, the DLC branch wasn't damaged, thus we're pleased to announce that, in order to apologize for the inconvenience, we will be including the Hard Mode DLC into the main game, at no additional cost! Lastly, we would like to express our solidarity with the Jewish people. We originally chose this day as a launch date in order to send a strong signal against the new wave of nazism that is sweeping the West in these difficult times. Sadly, we couldn't do so. We hope that the world will never forget the horrors of the Holocaust and that neither the Jews nor any other peaceful group shall experience such atrocities ever again. GoGirl Studio 27/01/2018

POLITICAL DISCLAIMER
In difficult times like the ones we're going through, it is the duty of every morally upstanding citizen to support works of art like this one which are made by oppressed and marginalized minorities. Before buying a product, you should always ask yourself: "Am I enabling bigotry by giving money to these people?" Sadly, humanity still hasn't acquired the intellectual maturity to realize that no one should be able to freely spend "their" money as they wish, but rather there should be a central authority preventing hateful people to be paid and prosper. Thus, as long as we live in this anarchic capitalistic regime, it's up to each one of us and to our moral conscience to be mindful of how we use our money. If you see a game you like on Steam, consider buying our game instead so that you can support an all-female game studio!- OS: Linux 4.0
