Youve found the perfect blog post. Jackbox Games are local multiplayer games, but with a few extra steps, its easy to get a game started with others in remote locations. If youre unfamiliar with our games, our general How To Play page is a great place to learn how to start a room and connect players to a game. After youve checked that out, hop on back to this page! Playing with Friends and Family If you feel confident about your internet connections, just jump onto a videoconferencing service (like Zoom, Discord, or Google Meet). Start a game on your laptop and use the screen-sharing option so that your players can see the game. Everyone can play along on their own mobile devices by using a browser and going to Jackbox.tv. If youre having difficulty getting back to your video conferencing screen from the games full-screen mode, go to the settings in the main lobby and turn off Full Screen Mode. If youre a Steam fan, you can skip the videoconferencing step and use Steam Remote Play Together. This feature allows you to share your local co-op games online with friends. Using Remote Play Together, only one person needs to own a copy of a Jackbox Games title. Up to four players (or more with faster internet connections) can join. Discord screen sharing can also be a great option if youre playing on a laptop. You and up to nine of your Discord friends can connect and have both the game and video-enabled. Youll want to see your friends faces when theyre laughing at your responses in Tee K.O. 2. • Made some major infrastructure improvements to significantly reduce the chances of a Jackbox.tv connection getting disconnected from a game.
• Fixed various issues that could lead to the game freezing or soft-locking.

We’ve had so many people playing our games and having amazing times at parties and family gatherings since we launched, and it’s given us tons of great feedback. Thanks, everyone! We’ve tried to address some existing issues with this patch, but we are always working to fix any new issues you might have. If you have a problem, please let us know at our support site or on the Discussion thread on Steam. Before we list the fixes in this release, just a couple of big reminders: 1) This game is SAME-ROOM MULTIPLAYER! All the games are party games meant to be played in a party setting in the same room, or perhaps in two very close rooms, or a large open field of poppies. As long everyone can see the TV. 2) HOWEVER, you can also create an online game experience using Steam’s brand new Broadcast feature or by using another streaming service like Twitch. Patch Notes:

• Fixed some issues that were causing players to get stuck at the Start screen.
• Fixed issues with long Drawful text entries getting cut off.
• In Drawful, if you type in something VERY CLOSE to the correct answer, such as a slight misspelling, you’ll now usually be asked to enter something else. This eliminates multiple very similar answers to choose from (in many cases).
• Mouse cursor will now be hidden after being idle for 5 seconds.
• Removed minimize / maximize window buttons in windowed mode, as they were causing weird video scaling issues.
• Fixed occurrence of a missing “Kangaroo, Peanut, Albert Einstein or Uranus?” video in YOU DON’T KNOW JACK 2015.
• Fixed various issues that could lead to the game freezing or soft-locking.
• Fixed some bold font issues.
• Jackbox.tv now recognizes and alerts players before they sign in if their browser is not compatible with Drawful.

It's finally here! Hey... whew... sorry... hold on... let us catch our breath... it was a race to the finish to get the Jackbox Party Pack to Steam in time for Thanksgiving. Oh man... wow... that was a nail biter. Please enjoy it with your family and friends this holiday season. We're just going to lie down on the floor here and rest.
