While we are approaching the release date, here are 8 curiosities about the development of One Shell Straight to Hell some of them might sound a bit crazy but are totally real! Fact #1 The Padres Order is named after a real pope The Society of Honorius III is named after a mediaeval pope, Honorius III, who is purported to have authored a grimoire which was specifically designed to be used by priests. In the text, he supposedly discusses how a Christian priest can summon and control evil spirits. It is almost certain that Honorius himself did not author any such book, as it would have been a gross and public violation of Christian teachings (and, as we know, popes used to be posthumously tried in courts for less).

Without his craft, the world of Padre would not be the same. #4 One Shell Straight to Hell differs greatly from its predecessor If you are reading this on The Padre community hub, you most likely already realized that the first game starring Padre was a voxel art puzzle-based game. Although the game's acclaim didnt translate to blockbuster numbers, the foundations had been laid for an epic sequel. Now Padre returns to the forefront of the battlefield between good and evil. Once again the player will don the cloth to vanquish evil with harsh sermons and sharp wit, but this time with a whole lot of bullets as well. #5 One Shell Straight to Hell was inspired by Polands best-selling magazine about exorcisms. The idea for the return of Padre in One Shell Straight to Hell came to be on a rainy day in early 2019 in Feardemics hometown, Krakw, Poland. The concept of priests banishing demons through exorcism is a popular one in Poland. It is popular to such an extent that the country even boasts its own magazine specifically about the art of exorcism called Egzorcysta. On that rainy day, one of the 15,000 copies of the monthly edition of the magazine found its way into Feardemics office and influenced the staff of both Feardemic and Shotgun with Glitters.

Ever since he learnt to hold a pencil, he has been drawing characters from game worlds, working away toward the creation of the perfect protagonist. Back in 2018, Keve was asked to reimagine Padre and to create a universe where demons and the Church battle for moral authority. It was his work that became the real driver in shaping the world of the game and the characters you encounter.

This congregation was founded in Warsaw, Poland on November 1st, 1862. Their Houses of Mercy can still be found in Poland as well as in other countries. #8 The story consultant was actually part of a real church Paranormal Investigation Although Reverend James White does not recall performing nor witnessing an exorcism performed with consecrated ammunition, he was called upon to investigate a report of a 21st-century haunting. Despite the fact that the details of it are too chilling to recount here, services of an exorcist were actually not required. There was however some furniture involved, which may have influenced some of the uncomfortable welcoming committees in One Shell Straight to Hell. A Note from the Desk of Padre Alexander The end of year is often associated with the giving of gifts but its also a time where we reflect on the year that was. In my case it seems like a whirlwind of demon slaying and exorcising a right buffet of demons from the flocks most vulnerable! Its also been a time to reflect on how I help in other ways and what it means to be a world-famous demon hunting priest. My show Dear Padre is a way that I can reach out to a great many of my flock through the power of network television. Broadcast daily on the Vatican Network, Dear Padre is one of the most loved shows in Vatican City and the Popes personal favorite, or so I am told. It has been a long and stressful road for us. Countless mugs of coffee and unslept nights later we can finally say it out loud Weve done it! The Padre is coming out worldwide and multiplatform! Weve dreamt about this day for months and we cannot wait how it will be received by media, but most importantly by the wonderful community of video game enthusiasts out there. The project grew from our love of retro games, genres that for most have been long forgotten Point and Click Adventure games and the beginnings of the Horror Adventure genre. This is why we used voxel graphics (or if you prefer a less technical term 3D Pixel Art), filled the game with easter eggs and made the protagonist a witty smart-ass taking us back to the golden age of action films. Of course, we left out some gameplay anachronisms that would make the game less-enjoyable but we preserved the aesthetic and feel as much as it was humanly possible. The IDDQD code is no longer necessary, were leaving god mode off and the rest is up to you. We hope you will enjoy playing The Padre as much as we adored creating it. Shotgun With Glitters Team

Before we go into any details, we wanted to thank each and everyone who has supported the Padre in its Early Access period. You guys are the reason why we decided to develop games! Now lets move to some details: What has changed since the last Early Access update? - New story elements and new scenes - Extended end game - New cut scenes - Melee and ranged combat reformed. It is much more convenient and straightforward now. - New inventory and UI - New music, voices, and voiceover elements - Controller support redesigned - Improved AI Important note: The changes were so extensive that the previous saved games will not be working in the new version.
