Hello everybody! The day has come, we have just released the OOTP 19 update which unlocks the public beta of Perfect Team! This is a very special day for our company, we really hope that you will love Perfect Team as much as we do. It took us over 2 1/2 years of development time to get to where we are today, and now we're really close to putting the finishing touches on. To learn more about Perfect Team and the public beta, please see here: Official Perfect Team Forum On top of Perfect Team, this update (version 19.9.111) offers several other enhancements & fixes: - Dramatically improved startup times - Improved simulations and general game speed by up to 20% - Fixed injury rating bugs for historical imports - Improved pinch hitting AI - Fixed crashes on Mac OSX 10.14 (Mojave) and some Linux distros - Several other bug fixes Please do note that this version (19.9.111) is not compatible with the previous releases (19.8.79 or earlier) in online leagues, so all members of an online league need to be on the same major version in order to continue without issues. Also, the Linux version does not support Perfect Team, unfortunately. Have fun! Markus & the OOTP Team

Hello everyone, it's time for an update on our upcoming online competition and card collecting mode, Perfect Team! The closed beta started about 3 weeks ago, and the feedback has been phenomenal. Of course, there were a few kinks to work out, but in general the feedback from our beta testers has been amazing. They love the new mode and we think you will, too. To wet your appetite, here is an exclusive hand-on preview by GameInformer's Matt Kato: https://www.gameinformer.com/the-sports-desk/2018/10/15/hands-on-with-ootp-19s-perfect-team-mode So, when can you get your hands on Perfect Team? Really soon. We are currently shooting for October 30th to start the public beta, although that may slip into the first week of November. We will keep you posted about the progress and will have a big announcement once the public beta launches. Have a nice weekend and enjoy our upcoming World Series Special Sale! Hello everybody! This week we were working very hard to fix the last remaining issues of the problematic 19.8.64 update. And it looks like we succeeded, all customers who were in contact with us because of performance issues / crashes have reported that the current build is stable and performs great. So, here is the final 19.8 update, version 19.8.79. Please do note that this version (19.8.79) is not compatible with the previous releases (19.8.70 or earlier) in online leagues, so all members of an online league need to be on the same major version in order to continue without issues. Changelist (compared to 19.8.70) - Improved interface speed - Fixed performance issues with some AMD CPUs - Fixed 1946, 1947, 1948 league total stats - Fixed bugs: scouting graphs, historical finances, allstar bonus, and others Again, we are very sorry that the 19.8.64 update was such a mess for some users. Hopefully update 19.8.79 puts this annoying chapter to rest. Cheers, Markus & the entire OOTP Team

Hey folks! Unfortunately it seems we're in a bit of a slump, the previous hotfix introduced yet another serious issue (crashing when advancing a day / simming), so we have just released another hotfix, version 19.8.70. If this update still does not run properly for you, please first make sure you actually have it installed, the bottom of the entry screen after launching OOTP displays the version number. Then please contact lukas@ootpdevelopments.com and explain your problem in detail, he will most likely be able to help you get it sorted out. Thank you for your patience and support! Again, we are so sorry for the inconvenience, but we're human too and sometimes **** just happens, apparently. Have a good weekend! Markus & the entire OOTP team

Hey folks! While we are working hard to get Perfect Team into beta, we have put the finishing touches on the last scheduled pre-PT update for OOTP 19, version 19.8.64. It adds a lot of tweaks & fixes and also vastly improves the shop player feature! Please do note that this version (19.8.XX) is not compatible with the previous releases (19.7.XX or earlier) in online leagues, so all members of an online league need to be on the same major version in order to continue without issues. Here is the changelist compared to version 19.7: - New shop player options: can shop multiple players at once, retain salary, set basic search criteria. limit 5 shops daily, 10 during winter meetings/before trade deadline - New expert option: Use Optimized Image Resize (better graphics, but likely slower for image scaling) - Added new right-click options for inserting players to lineups - Added year selector to league leaders page - Fixed association playoff setup crash - Fixed issues with draft pick trading and imported draft orders/new 2018 game - Fixed issue with some advanced fielding stats showing 0 on player lists - Fixed issue with getting a "willing to resume negotiations" message while the player still refuses to talk - Will no longer automatically skip top starters at the end of the season if clinched. AI-controlled teams will set strategy to bench top-2 starters on team during final weekend - Adjusted AI valuation of players on trade block - Fixed January transaction logs not showing up in reports - Fixed crashes involving historical exhibition - Fixed several cosmetic issues and other bugs Enjoy the game. We'll keep you posted on the progress of Perfect Team, currently we're looking at an early October date for the public beta! Cheers, Markus & the entire OOTP Team

Hello everyone! From all of us at Out of the Park Developments, we hope you’re having a great time living out your baseball dreams in Out of the Park Baseball 19 this season. We continue to receive wonderful feedback from the community, and keep working hard to make everyone happy with updates to the game. We have just released the latest, version 19.7.56, you can read all about it here: OOTP 19 Update Released Speaking of updates, we know many of you are wondering when and where we’re going to be unveiling Perfect Team, the free new mode we’ll be introducing later this year. We thought it would be a good idea to say a few things to everyone about it, including: 1) What is Perfect Team? 2) When will you be able to play it? 3) Can you give us a preview of it? What is Perfect Team? Perfect Team is a new, free online multiplayer mode that will be available to all owners of Out of the Park Baseball 19 via a free update of the game. Players will compete against each other in dynamic online seasons, fielding their own versions of “Perfect Teams” culled from digital baseball cards collected over time. Teams will battle each other in simulated online events, featuring multiple levels of leagues (which simulate several times daily) with winners rising through the ranks to ultimately compete in and win the World Series in a Perfect Team Major League. Everyone will start out with a set of 6 card packs to open that will immediately yield an entire team to put on the field. As players explore Out of the Park Baseball 19 (in Challenge Mode) and Perfect Team, unlocking achievements and special game performances will earn them more card packs or in-game currency (Perfect Points) to acquire more card packs (or individual player cards on the marketplace) and ultimately craft a team built the way they like it - with players spanning the entire history of the sport. The online leagues will be multi-tiered, with promotion and relegation as seasons are completed. It will be a dynamic, completely new experience! As we strive to grow our audience, Perfect Team helps bring new fans to the game plus gives longtime players a new and interesting way to compete against other OOTP community members. We are very excited to bring this to you, and can’t wait for everyone to give it a shot! When will you be able to play it? We are working very hard to ensure everyone’s initial experience with Perfect Team is a positive one. To that end, we are planning an initial private beta in the next two months, and – provided things go well – an open beta a few weeks after that, near the end of the summer. That should allow us to unveil the official, public Perfect Team in time for the baseball playoffs this fall. This schedule is a bit different than our initial plans, but creating this experience from scratch (and working with multiple independent third parties) is a large endeavor that is significantly different from anything we’ve ever done before. We want to make sure we get it right – and that the feedback from the betas can be incorporated in the true Version 1.0 of Perfect Team. In the meantime, of course, we continue to support Out of the Park Baseball 19 like we always have, with patches, updates, fixes, and cool new things. Perfect Team will ultimately allow us to do a whole lot more of that in the future! Can you give us a preview of it? We will reveal the first screenshots of Perfect Team shortly after the All-Star break. Of course we could show you some fabricated mockups now, but we'd rather show off the "real thing" once it's in proper visual shape. The interface is very similar to OOTP 19, but there are several new screens in the Perfect Team area, for example the marketplace for player cards, screens showing off your collection and achievements, the Perfect Team Home Screen which shows what's currently going on in the PT world, the Pack Opening Scene (fireworks, finally!) and so much more. In conclusion Thank you so much for being an Out of the Park Baseball fan! We appreciate all of your support over the years and are as excited as you are about being able to bring Perfect Team to you as soon as it’s ready. Marksu & the entire OOTP Team

Out of the Park Baseball 19, the latest edition of the world's best-rated sports strategy game franchise, is a baseball fan's dream come true. The game is officially licensed through MLB.com, MiLB and the MLBPA!
"OOTP is an astonishing accomplishment!" - Boston Red Sox Principal Owner John W. Henry
Step into the shoes of a GM and/or manager to own the future or rewrite the past of your favorite real-world baseball franchise. Build the team the way you want. Start a new career with your favorite 2018 MLB team or go back through almost 150 years of baseball history and run any team from the past! You can even set up your own fictional baseball universe or compete in online leagues against other OOTP players. Make your move!
The brand new 2018 MLB roster set will include all projected Opening Day MLB rosters as well as the complete minor league system down to the rookie leagues and even future draft classes. On top of this, 8 international leagues (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Italy, The Netherlands, Mexico and Cuba) and several international and US independent leagues return to OOTP 19 with accurate and projected 2018 rosters.
Discover new talent, draft the next superstar, negotiate with free agents, enter trade talks with other teams, build your dynasty and guide a franchise into an infinite future! As a manager, dive into the more hands-on management and set your team's lineups, pitching staffs, in-game strategy and call the shots from the dugout. You can oversee your league at a high level, or play out each game in the redesigned 3D game mode, managing play by play or even pitch by pitch. OOTP has it all covered!
New features in OOTP 19 include:
- Vastly improved 3D gameplay mode, with animated 3D players, improved ballpark models and a completely redesigned in-game interface. Playing games in OOTP 19 is a completely new experience!
- A beautifully redesigned interface. We have completely revamped the look of the game and improved many screens throughout the game. Three new skins are included and you can now choose between six different fonts in order to customize the look and feel even further.
- New scouting system, with completely rewritten scouting reports and streamlined rating systems, making it easier than ever to evaluate players.
- Ultra-realistic AI, with improved handling of two-way players, in-game strategy decision making, trade evaluation and much more.
- Tournaments have been enhanced with two exciting new features: the ability create a standalone tournament bracket, plus the option to draw any teams in history into a tournament. The possibilities are endless!
- User Voting for End-of-Season Awards. You can now cast a full ballot for all the end-of-season awards, including the MVP Award, the Cy Young Award and other awards. Improved decision-making by the AI can lead to some close races for awards.
- A completely customizable manager home screen, giving you total control over your virtual front office.
- 800 new fictional team logos for your own custom baseball world are now included.
- Improved player morale / team chemistry system
- Improved player creation & development system
- Improved game recaps, enhanced play-by-play text and league news
- Countless small tweaks that enhance the user experience: for example, delayed substitutions for injured players while playing out games, so you won'?t have to replace your injured pitcher right away if your team is going to bat. Many other small changes are included too.
- And much more...
Coming later this Summer: PERFECT TEAM, the new and exciting online competition mode in Out of the Park Baseball. Stay tuned for an open beta and more information!
