Electric Features
- The impressive Finger of Evil! A machine that gives you the power to generate lightning! You can zap victims, heroes or even your own minion to make them go faster.
- Batteries, wood generators, treadmill generators, wires.
- Tesla coils to electrocute your enemies.
- Alarm and Presence sensors (to activate/deactivate alarm).
- Lightning rod (to get electricity from thunder and protect your mansion)
- Mobile phone jammer. Don't let your victim call for help!
- Electric door (closed when powered by electricity).
- Some furniture now need electricity. Candles need to be lit by your minion.
- Reduce the cost of things that need electricity.
New Minion
- Succubus: Sucks the life out of your enemies.
Customisations:
- Custom map: configure a map to your will.
- Difficulty level: normal, hard very hard, so you can play casual, or scream all the way.
Environment
- You can dig graves to get ancient artefacts or wake up more-or-less friendly monsters!
- Dead monsters leave a grave behind.
Improvements
- Better sounds: more than 100 new sound FX.
- Click on an item in the inventory to select it and focus on it (finding weapon).

- Bug: hypnotized minions (ie: hypnotized by the vampire in vacation event) are taken out of the roster, but you can "hire" them again to stop the hypnosis, although they give everyone else the "saw a minion die" loyalty debuff.
- Bug: I'm still not getting the "kill virgin last" bonus, I only get a reward for "kill them when alone" bonus.
- Bug: When a monster is blocked (surrounded by walls), other monsters stop working.

Dear fellow Villains, the electricity is not yet ready, but we made a lot of bug fixes and some improvement based on your feedback :) So we thought it would be nice to release it before the next content update.
Improvement:
- Buttons to demolish/cancel action (with shortcut). - Autosave limit the quantity and frequency. - Add [select all] button. - Increase gold storage capacity from 500 to 700 Increase Wood normal/evil capacity from 600 to 800. - Every monster can get a weapon and to compensate psychopath cooldown for weapon is divided in half. - Esc key bring the setting menu. - Button to start/stop tasks (Fight/working mod) on individual monster. - New event manager (virus events shouldn't be close). - Post office closing during the night (your minion won't bring letter and cross a victim path). - Clown reworks (don't scare victims).
Bug fixes:

We are announcing the first feature and content update!
It will be the electricity

Dear fellow Villains,
Again we want to thank you for continues support. It really is amazing to see that so many of you enjoy the game so much on a daily basis!
We do our best to improve the game every day. We have a new update for you that addresses the following issues:
- Save/Load bugs: 93% fixed.
- Lab XP gain doesn't work when monster wears glasses.
- Rotating walls work on non attracted victims.
- Monsters with increased health from lab return to default health after sleeping in special bed.
- Turret just shoots sometimes at nothing.
- Achievements "all research done" and "100 days "not always trigger.
- Turret not always reloading.
- Some Heroes Attack victims.
- Dogs have wrong sound when die.
- Sarcophagus increases the max hp but shows a -1hp icon.
- Fire Hydrant can be placed on the road.
- Saving a file and name it with something with " K " it will activate fight stance.
- Fire can't be extinguished after a tv as been burned.
Besides this, we have some exciting news for you! For the next big patch, that will be released end of july, we have planned a major content update that is all about electricity.
We will post more details about that next week.

Hello fellow Villains, Thank you for your support! It's amazing to see the mansions you come up with! Here is a new patch including: Save/Load bugs: 90% fixed Monster not using the table All monsters idle when 1 room is fully enclosed 1 head appearing in 3 fridge items slot, blocking monster for working Victims escaping without entering a room that has no other door Victim not entering when fancy door is replaced by regular door After loading victims group don't follow the leader and are stuck Victims stuck in the doorframe between room (when low frame rate) Victims becoming transparent when scared + starving after load Victims using hidden door when first room only has hidden door and entry door Removing lamp after a load = victims act as if light still here (not scared) We also started balancing the advanced furnitures that require metal (metal, plates, cogs) following your feedbacks. We are working on the next bug fixes update for the 22nd. There might be another one after if needed. But after that we will be able to focus on adding content and features (while still fixing eventual minor bugs). We'll start discussing it with you on the Steam forum after the next patch. Thank you for the reports and the support. Seeing your creativity, thoughtful responses and feedback is very helpful as everyone works hard on updates. We also appreciate the patience as your comments are addressed and patches are tested and released. It's amazing to be a part of such a wonderful community! We have a new patch today: - Save/load (60% fixed) - Vampire burning indoor - 0HP forest creatures - 0HP victims - 0HP heroes - Virus event limited - Sitting on inactivated table bug - Chemistry bench display bug - Victims not scared of spikes - Workbench subpriority save - Vampire hypnosis not working - Invisible superior bed - Crypt problem with advanced clown (clown still has no power, to be fixed) (Some of this bugs might seem trivial, but they actually caused save and/or load issues) We haven't forgotten Mac specific issues, we are still looking for a coder who can help with them. On a personal note, Alex still can't see, we'll know more about it today. He thanks you for all your kind wishes, it's helping in this difficult time. A big ‘thanks’ to all of you who helped us making an incredible launch of Machiavillain possible. We really are happy many of you enjoy the game so much! Besides the many positive messages we also received reports that our minions still need to fix some bugs. Thank you, that is very helpful. Joking aside, truth is some bugs would have already been patched, but Murphy's law struck. Some of you might already know, we are a team of 2, one dev/coder (Alexandre) and one artist (Zimra). After weeks of extremely hard work leading up to release, the day of the launch, Alexandre's eyes became extremely painful, and we had to go to the emergency room. He had to have a light surgery and he has trouble seeing for now. He is going to get better, but sadly in the meanwhile he can't code. But the good news is that we are bringing aboard help in form of a coder. Here are the bugs/issues we have started fixing with the current first emergency patch: - Save bugs (30% fixed) - Load bugs (30%fixed) - Trees growing on floor (fixed) - Minions stopping working when some rooms are completely closed - Adding/improving hotkeys - Proofreading the english version (done) - Virgin detector (done) - Rotating walls (done) We'll release patches as soon as possible. If you have any suggestions, you can send us a bug report with game data just by clicking on the "Send feedback" button (bottom right) with a short description in the title (so we can pinpoint the problem), it will help solving the issue, thank you! Alpha 7:
New monster category: Psychopaths !
- They have a lovely smile, they're good cooks, eat brain, and can use any weapon (chainsaw, machete, a stone etc..).
- Special attack : bloody ear bite and disarm opponent.
New Research system.
- Research tree and two research bench.
Equipment: your monsters can now carry different types of equipment (over 60 different objects for now).
- Potions: improve your monster health
- Items: a number of more-or-less disgusting jewelry, shields or artefacts that will enhance your monster’s abilities
- Weapons: specific to Psychopath monsters. Enjoy stealing and using your enemies weapon against them.
Example: Dead Frog, Hangman Noose Necklace, cursing Polaroid, chainsaw, football helmet etc..
New crafting furniture: the potion bench.
New enemies: dangerous hunters who know what’s up with your mansion.
- Horror movie survivors (armed with whatever they found : vinyl disk, golf club...)
- Angry rednecks (armed with dynamite, shotgun, etc)
- Spiritual team (priests, templar knights,...)
Fighting AI: improved, added movement in group formation system
4 new events: food poisoning, surprise delivery, mysterious chest and loot box.
New loyalty traits: making taking care of some monsters easier or more difficult.
Shopkeeper: Items, food, and monster.
Change in the Suspicion system.
- If the suspicion increases the number of victims you can lure inside your mansion decrease. Monster hunter attack is not linked to suspicion (exception villager attack)
Detection tower, and virgin detection tower. These towers remove fog of war, and detect virgin (to follow the kill the virgin last rules)
Training room, that makes your minion gain XP.
When a furniture is too much Destructed it can't be used.
- Basic table and chair.

Welcome to Villain City, a luxury community entrenched in the hills of horror. Ax murderers, mad scientists and tax evaders, all kinds of bad guys consider this place to be their sweet home. This is the perfect place to rest, relax, and pursue a career in the noblest of professions: professional Villain!!
The real estate agent promised you a haunted house with jump scare devices and terrifying traps. Instead, you have a piece of empty land full of Vermin near a rubbish forest.
But do not flee yet! With a little elbow grease, the help of your minions and a lot of murders, you can turn this house into a happy and dreary mortal trap. Just lure locals inside, then trigger your deadly traps or let your minion feast on their brains and flesh. Every night you'll multiply your evil level until everyone calls your mansion " scary, nasty and horrible."
Be aware that the League of Machiavellian Villains has adopted a strict policy that governs the level of wickedness that you have to adhere to in order to stay in the community. Drs Frank and Stein, Siamese co-Chairmen of the Board of evil ( BDM ), dictated a series of rules to follow when conducting your villainous business. They cover everything from how to kill intruders- to what salads are considered the most evil (no surprise, grated carrots).
Follow the rules of the League and become the scariest neighborhood Villain!
- Build your mansion: Create the evil mansion of your nightmares! Put together the perfect crypt for your vampire, the insanest lab for your mad scientist, an irresistible swimming pool for your victims (and your shark) and don't forget the cannibal kitchen!
- Gather your evil nightmare team: Choose your minions wisely though, as each possesses different traits and have different needs that must be tended to. They also have different fighting styles, such as long range, bare handed, and of course, bare fanged.
- Manage your monsters: No evil mansion is complete without a cadre of minions to keep it running. Order them to do your evil deeds, and don’t forget to have them clean the blood stains.
- Slaughter innocent victims…and bankers!: Our menu tonight includes a wide array of victims from famous tropes such as jocks, nerds, potheads, party girls or horror movie celebrities. A good variety ensures your minions stay well-fed.
- Fight all the things: The environment is full of hostile creatures who want to take your place at the top of the food chain. Chupacabra, Wendigo, Sasquatch... There are also pro monster hunters who come knocking at your door with stakes, holy water or baseball bats. Show them who's the boss… the Villain boss!
- Bloody good crafting: Sawing through countless victims means you'll end up with a few spare parts. Why not use those bits and bobs to craft something useful? MachiaVillain lets you create things using ingredients gathered from victims and harvested from the environment. Put them together and you'll get something horrifying, but also useful.
- Follow the Rules!:The key to evil survival in MachiaVillain is to follow the unspoken rules of the horror movie genre. You do have an Evil Mastermind Reputation to think about after all. Follow the villain's rules to be a real success. So slaughter them when they're alone, kill the virgin last, and never, ever hurt the dog!
