Out now! Choice of the Vampire Volume Four, St. Louis: Unreal City

We have some exciting and complicated news for you about Choice of the Vampire, one of the earliest in our popular "Choice of Games" line of multiple-choice interactive-fiction games. First, we're proud to announce that Volume Four, St. Louis: Unreal City, is now available for purchase everywhere. With the turning of the century, St. Louis sits at the navel of the United States. The elite of the city celebrate by throwing the party of all partiesthe 1904 Worlds Fair. Every vampire who is any vampire will be there! Second, we're announcing that we're transforming Choice of the Vampire from a series of games, distributed as separate apps, into a single game with separate volumes available as in-app purchases. (This is the complicated part; please bear with us!) Finally, we're announcing that all of the volumes of Choice of the Vampire are 30% off until November 5th! With the addition of Volume Four, Choice of the Vampire is now over 850,000 words long, and we can't wait to let you sink your teeth into it.

We're merging Choice of the Vampire into a single app

We originally made Choice of the Vampire 2: The Fall of Memphis available as a separate app. That was unwise of us, for several reasons:

• Memphis was actually the third volume of "Choice of the Vampire," so calling it "Vampire 2" was confusing.
• Having a separate app introduced an artificial transition between Vicksburg and Memphis. You had to save your game, download a new app, and restore your game in the new app to continue playing.
• As we've worked on Choice of the Vampire, we've added a lot of content to earlier volumes as well. Old saved games from 2013 would be inconsistent with the new content in New Orleans and Vicksburg. There are new choices to be made in New Orleans that have a significant impact on your experience in Memphis; there's no good way to restore old saved games into the new version of the game.

The Fall of Memphis is now available as a DLC for Choice of the Vampire. If you've previously purchased the Memphis app, you have automatically been credited the Fall of Memphis DLC within the Choice of the Vampire.
