First of all, wed like to wish a very happy Lunar New Year to all of you celebrating the transition to the Year of the Tiger! Its shaping up to be a great one not only for Coach, but for all of Spooky Highs faculty and student body.

The first bit of good news for the year comes in the form of a new language update!

Traditional Chinese localization has been made available for all of Monster Proms and its DLC, Second Term, in-game texts and will become accessible as soon as this update goes live.

It represents a big stride in making Monster Love a global phenomenon and we proudly stand by it, along with our partners at Whisper Games that made the localization possible!

Picking up where we left off in terms of good news - a saucy 69% discount on Monster Prom - the base game, as well as a 30% discount for the Second Term DLC will be available between January 27th and the 3rd of February. Sounds like a pretty nifty gift idea if you ask us, especially with Valentines Day being right around the corner.

It has been brought to the facultys attention that a record in Spooky High attendance has been set. Now, not all of the 5k Steam reviews weve received are glowing, but most of them are pretty wholesome for our neck of the woods. So, in accordance with school policy, weve decided to give the student body the opportunity to support us further with even more reviews. However, for that to happen, we must first bolster the ranks of Spooky High students with some new recruits.

As the localization of Monster Prom in Simplified Chinese has been a trial and error type of task, we are glad to be able to bring you some good news for a change. Based on your feedback, we have provided certain fixes that should ensure smoother playthroughs from now on.





We also found the time to localize the last two content updates - The You Do You Valentines Day update and the latest Thank You update. Hope you enjoy them and report back with all the typos you might find. We're still checking feedback from your reports so send it you have it.

Thus, we made a decision to go with a commissioned all new original soundtrack, composed specifically for Monster Prom. Even though we are working hard on Monster Proms upcoming sequel, we couldnt let the most bootiful time of the year pass us by without treating you to something new. Heres whats what with our newest update: A Ghost Story!


Brand New Plotline - This Halloween, well explore a tragic tale of romance and dread, played between Winston Montgomery and the mysterious Esmeralda. Theres 3 whole new events to look forward to, each leading to what is our longest plotline to date!

Fresh But Familiar Outfits - You might have picked up on the hint that there's something going on with The Coven. Why are the others wearing their outfits? How does that eerie locket fit into all of this? And what does any of this have to do with going to the prom?

Mod Tool Update - This Halloween also marks the public debut of Monster Proms highly anticipated modding tool. We're starting off by providing access to owners of both the base game and Second Term DLC, followed by a full release for all players later this year. There's also a neat little manual that you can check out right here, right now!

Slashed Prices - We figured you or your friends might need some extra cash for candy and costumes, so this Steam Halloween Sale were bringing a real bargain for monster romance.

Weve had a long and tedious road ahead of us during these last 12 months, but were swiftly reaching the final stretch. We are happy to announce that the Public Beta version of the Simplified Chinese Localization of Monster Prom will be readily available starting October 22nd!

Once released, the localized version will be accessible through the Beta branch option of each users Steam Library.

Please keep in mind that we are referring to the localization of the base game and all of its Seasonal Updates, but NOT the DLC content. However, Second Term will certainly follow suit with its own localization and will become available in the coming months.

The Beta Branch should be easily accessible by visiting your Steam Games Library. There, you should be able to right click on Monster Prom in your games section and select Properties at the bottom of the list. Once in the Properties section, make sure to visit the Beta tab, which should be the 4th one from the left. Then, input the mpchinesebeta code, click Check code, then select "chinesebeta" from the drop-down menu and you should be good to go!





This time around, we also plan on making sure that communication between us and you, our lovable fans, is done properly. Thus, we can confirm that the official full release of Monster Proms Simplified Chinese Localization will only become available after consulting and implementing feedback given by you, our community.

If you find any bugs, typos or inconsistencies within the localization, please feel free to report them through the following online form.

Once more, we would like to take this opportunity to express our apologies for how tedious the whole translation process turned out to be. However, we also believe that, by choosing to not compromise on quality for the sake of faster results, we did what was best for both the product and your experience with the game.

With a heavy heart, our team has encountered an unexpected bug with the online feature of Monster Prom. We are working relentlessly to fix it, but due to unfortunate timing, the online option might be unstable upon release or even delayed by a few days.
