Dear Players, We are excited to announce the huge update that you may have heard us referring to recently! The main focus of this update is the server and game architecture. We have been working tirelessly to have a scalable solution to handle a greater amount of total and concurrent players as well as maximising performance. We feel that with this update we have made considerable progress as we are now able to quickly and easily deploy servers as the demand requires. Thanks to your feedback and extensive testing we have also rebalanced all of the weapons. We have tried out the changes on our development server and feel it is a good start, but obviously we will need the kind of raw stats and feedback that only actual extended gameplay can provide. So keep this in mind and if you have any feedback to offer on this please feel free to share it with us.

Combat :: Weaponry
- Shortbow
- Damage increased from 180 to 190. (+10 damage)
- Shuriken
- Damage reduced from 65 to 40. (-25 damage)
- Cooldown reduced from 0.7 seconds to 0.5 seconds. (-0.2 seconds)
- Knife
- Damage reduced from 115 to 80. (-35 damage)
- Throwing Axe
- Damage increased from 300 to 390. (+90 damage)
- Cooldown increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds. (+2 seconds)
- Oriental Slipper
- Damage increased from 150 to 225. (+75 damage)
- Cooldown increased from 1.15 seconds to 1.75 seconds. (+0.6 seconds)
- Novice Javelin
- Damage increased from 265 to 290. (+25 damage)
- Cooldown increased from 1.75 seconds to 3 secoonds. (+1.25 seconds)
- Blowpipe
- Cooldown increased from 1 second to 1.5 seconds. (+0.5 seconds)
- Golden Crossbow
- Cooldown reduced from 4.25 seconds to 4 seconds. (-0.25 seconds)
- Satchel Charge
- Cooldown for detonation reduced from 1.5 seconds to 0.5 seconds. (-1 second)
Player Customisation
- Player Skins
- Added a British themed player skin.
- Added a French themed player skin.
- Added a Russian themed player skin.
User Interface
- Main Menu
- The main menu has been overhauled to be more user friendly.
- A new button was added to adjust gameplay and graphics settings.
- A new button was added to visit the BattleStick Steam page.
- A new button was added to visit the BattleStick Reddit page.
- Leaderboard
- Your personal stats are now displayed within the updated Leaderboard page.
Bugs/Glitches
- Place/Detonate Satchel Charge When Dead
- A bug where a player could place AND detonate a satchel charge when dead, thus killing a player, has now been fixed.
- Free Coins Button Crash
- A bug where clicking the "Free Coins" button after having already done so, entering a game, dying and then trying to press it again from the main menu resulted in the client crashing, has now been fixed.
- Player Score Cleared
- A bug where the player score would clear (display only) from the Leaderboard if they died and returned to the main menu, has now been fixed. You will now still be able to see the Leaderboard (top right in-game) from the main menu with your last score, until you either play again or quit the game.

BattleStick is, and will always be, a Free-to-Play game.
In-Game Purchases : To support development, there will be items made available for purchase within the game, but they will never be offered to gain an advantage over others. For example, you are able to purchase skins and weapons with the in-game currency "Coins" for use immediately, however you can also unlock each and every weapon/skin from leveling up. So it is up to you, the player, if you wish to grind it out, or support the developers and get to use a specific weapon/wear a specific skin without waiting.
Controls
WAD/ZQD or Up/Left/Right arrow keys: Movement.
S or Down arrow key: Regenerate HP.
Left Mouse Button: Use Weapon.
Right Mouse Button: Drop a Satchel Charge/Explode a dropped Satchel Charge.
