Script Overhaul, New Game Released, And Plans For An Extended Edition Of HLITTB
First, this is something Ive been itching to do for a long time since there always has been quite a few flaws with the script of Her Lie I Tried To Believe. So, Ive rewritten a lot of sentences that were really awkward, while trying to keep the style of the story intact. Ive also hired someone to proofread it. Im fairly satisfied with the end result, though there will probably always be some imperfections in the text. Anyway, the update should be live nowso better late than never I guess.
The second thing I want to talk about is that Ive just released my new game on steam, and I would be overjoyed if some of you would take the time to check it out. Its not really in the same style as Her Lie I Tried To Believea lot more vanilla, I would saybut still, your support would be appreciated, and it would help me create new games in the future. The game can be found here. Which brings us to the last point.
Ive been on the fence over this for quite a while now. There are some things in Her Lie I Tried To Believe that Ive kept ambiguous, and for good reasons. I like when people find their own truth, and interpret things their own way. So I really wasnt sure if it would be worth it to reveal those things. But while working on the script for the extended version, I realized that it would be a shame to keep things as they are now. Im a bit scared that fans wont like itbut at the same time, its been almost two years since the game has been out, a few people did ask me for an alternative ending, and since Im satisfied with the new endingI said to myself, why not? So the new content will most likely come in the form of a new separated game (extended edition). At first I wanted to release it as a DLC (since I will probably keep the style of the game as is), but since I dont want anything to happen to the current version of the game (you never know what can happen when dealing with steam), I wont take any chance. It wont be free, but shouldnt be very expensive. It will roughly double the number of words of the actual script (23~k words up to 45~k words) will add two small endings as well as a true one, and will introduce two new characters. If possible, Ill try to add a few new CGs to the current free version, but it will all depend on the budget. Thats why, if you really want to support me, checking out the new game that I just now released or simply buying the soundtrack of Her Lie I Tried To Believe would help me greatly. I still plan on releasing the extended edition no matter what happens, but it might take more time than anticipated the more my budget is constrained.

For reasons he doesn’t even know about, Tim has always felt hatred toward her. It could be because of her eyes. It could be because of her smile. Or it could simply be because she’s alive. The underlying causes can sometimes come from unexpected depths after all.
The only thing he knows for sure is that he saw her as a rival.
To defeat her. To humiliate her. To destroy her. For the first 16 years of his life, he drew breaths for those reasons alone.
But then… nothing. They eventually went their separate ways, as change is the inevitability that comes with those younger years.
Confronted with this sudden change, Tim had no other choice but to keep on moving forward, and finally adapted to a dull, productive lifestyle, forgetting even the fact that he once bore such animosity inside of him.
Until he met her again, that is.
Her Lie I Tried To Believe is a short kinetic novel about the persisting hatred of a boy throughout his life, the destructive relationship that was born from it, and the consequences he had to face as a direct result.
