Its been a long time since the release of Garden of Oblivion on Steam. The truth is that weve been busy working on our very first commercial game and devlopment didnt exactly go as expected. But at long last, its done!
If you happened to like the horror elements in Garden of Oblivion, you might want to take a look at Chronotopia: there's plenty of horrifying ways for the heroine to die (around 10)! Also, similar gameplay segments are present, though they're more scattered and infrequent due to the longer story.
The plan was supposed to be simple, almost ridiculously so.
When her father, driven mad by years of grief, suddenly decided to force her into marrying him, Princess Kionna enlisted the help of her childhood friend. Together, they managed to contact her long-lost fairy godmother. Surely, her powers would save her from this hellish fate. Kionna would be able to escape the castle, a prince charming would find her, and they would live happily ever after.
Alas, magic can only do so much. Things keep spinning out of control. Trapped in an endless nightmare, the princess ceaselessly rewinds time in a race with death itself. Is a happy ending truly waiting for her at the end of the tunnel?
- A captivating plot full of unexpected twists and existential dread
- Over 200 000 words of content with multiple endings (20-30 hours of playtime)
- 2 GxG (Nahima and Mdeia) and 1 GxB (the "Prince") romances can be chosen at the end of Kionnas journey
- Unlockable archives connecting the story to real-life European folklore
- Several gameplay phases to experience the semi-realistic medieval world in a different light
- Beautiful artwork, with animated backgrounds and special stained-glass illustrations
- Frequent use of cinematic shots to make the reading more immersive
- A full original soundtrack with celtic influences
- Available in both English and French!
We’re currently doing a crowdfunding campaign for Chronotopia: Second Skin, our very first commercial project. If you liked the atmosphere of Garden of Oblivion and how things kept getting worse, you might enjoy Chronotopia’s story as well~
Princess Kionna lives a peaceful existence in her castle, enjoying her days with her best friend and confidant, Nahima. That is until her father, gone mad since the death of his beloved, decides he should wed her instead. Kionna has to find a way to escape from this fate, but how? She doesn't know it yet, but it's the beginning of a long nightmare that will take her to the edge of madness... Chronotopia: Second Skin is a dark rewriting of the fairytale Donkeyskin inspired by a wide range of influences including anime like Haibane Renmei and Madoka Magica and games like Steins;Gate and Child of Light. The story is a unique and more mature take on a forgotten fairytale that includes many twists and choices that affect the ending: the princess can either escape with her servant, become a fairy, or die a horrible death. Multiple times. It's up to you to save...or doom her.
There’s a demo available so give it a go and consider pledging to the Kickstarter if you’d like the project to come true!
Thanks to all of you for your reception of Garden of Oblivion! I'm very happy to see that a modest little game made in a weekend can still be enjoyed.
We’ve uploaded a new version of the game with a German translation made by Marcel Weyers (many thanks to him). We also had to change the UI a bit to fit some of the words but it shouldn't be too visible.

Hey there,
If you’ve enjoyed Garden of Oblivion, consider buying the physical version from our store!
It doesn’t have the few improvements of the Steam Edition (new GUI, some typos fixed, etc) so it’s slightly rougher around the edges but the content overall is the same. It’s a compilation so you get to play the next game we’ll publish on Steam before we do and it comes with a free bookmark.
We’re waiting for your order!
