Source code now available as free DLC.

Though the demo source code has been publically available on github for free, and the full source code has been available on itch.io for a long time, it was never available through Steam until now. Directions: [olist]

  • Go to the Lizard game page of your Steam library.
  • Scroll down to the DLC section, use the checkbox to install the DLC.
  • Right click on Lizard in your games list, select Properties.
  • Select the LOCAL FILES tab.
  • Click BROWSE LOCAL FILES...

    SNES ROM now available as free DLC.

    Lizard has now been ported to SNES. This plays exactly the same as the NES version, but will run on SNES hardware or emulators. More information on the SNES port is available here: Kickstarter article Directions: [olist]

    Choose your lizard carefully. You can find six different ones scattered across the land, each with its own special ability.

    You'll need these abilities as you make your difficult journey through many dangerous places. Carefully hop your way to the top of an active volcano. Surf down a surging river. Swim an underwater lake. Ascend a snowy mountaintop. What kind of strange creatures will you meet? Can you unravel the mysteries of Lizard?


    Lizard is an original game for the NES, presented here on various Steam supported platforms.

    Content advisory:

    • Tricky platforming gameplay. There is an "easy" mode but many find it difficult.
    • Coin currency that is of dubious value.
    • Too small for details tiny pixelated nudity.
    • Spooky skeletons.
