We have found and fixed a number of issues and bugs during the closed beta and we feel the Coregrounds are ready for the next phase: We've wrapped up the closed beta and published Coregrounds as Early Access on Steam. Of course we still happily accept your feedback, bug reports, suggestions for new content and anything else you'd like to share about the game, either on our Discord server, via our Subreddit or here on Steam. Coregrounds is a fast-paced competitive strategy game, where tower defense gameplay meets the strategic diversity of a MOBA. It's an indie game built and balanced with eSports in mind and it's free to play but not pay to win: You can unlock all units, abilities and modifications by playing the game, as all purchases are vanity items or will only help you unlock things faster.

  • Beat 100 levels of vicious bots
  • Play against friends in private matches
  • Climb the Scoregrounds in ranked matches
  • Unlock dozens of minions, towers and abilities
  • Modify your units and draft the perfect build
  • Unlock colors, skins, backgrounds and customize your Coregrounds
