We are pleased to announce that Outbreak: The New Nightmare is arriving on Steam Early Access on June 20th, 2017! During the release window, the game will have a discount of 40% off!
It has always been the goal of our Outbreak series to reach a point where it's finally realized in full high definition 3D. We're very happy to finally be bringing this experience to our fans early in the development cycle so they can have immense impact in the direction of the game. Launching in Early Access will allow everyone to play the game and provide their own thoughts on how it can grow!
What's included in the initial Early Access release?
The initial release will include the tutorial, a single Campaign scenario and a single Onslaught mission. Don't fret, this is quite a bit of content to keep you busy!
What will be added as the game produces through Early Access?
We already have several scenarios planned out to add over the coming months. Each of these new scenarios will also bring new Onslaught experiences... and perhaps a few other game modes as well. ;) We'll be looking to include new mechanics in these scenarios as we evolve this title past the basic framework of the original Outbreak game by Dead Drop Studios.
What's the plan for pricing?
We're planning to raise the price over time as more content is added to the package. They will be gradual increases until we reach full release, which will launch at what we determine to be a fair price point. But, if you buy early, you'll get the entire game at a great price. Once you've purchased the Early Access version, you'll continue to get all of the new content as its added and already have the full game when it launches!
What about multiplayer and single player?
The Early Access release will come with up to 4-player online co-op multiplayer for ALL game modes. All of this content will also be playable in SINGLE PLAYER even OFFLINE!
What about trading cards?
As soon as we get sign-off from Valve post launch, we will be adding trading cards. They are already made and ready to go, we just need the green light! Thank you to everyone who has supported our series so far. We're very excited to be taking this next step. We look forward to surviving with you!
