You’ve been very vocal about your desire to play the game on your platform. On your terms. Now we finally deliver on our promise. Starting with the beta.
It’s not yet super stable and bug-free, but we’ve fixed major blockers and issues and you should be able to play RUINER on Ubuntu 16.04, Linux Mint 18.3, Debian 9, Fedora 27 and SteamOS. Other versions have not been tested. We’re still polishing it, so we’ll dearly appreciate any feedback.
To access the build on Friday, simply click RMB on RUINER in your Steam Library, navigate to Properties -> Betas and choose Linux from the drop-down list.
If you experience any video-related issues, please install VLC and its dependencies. Also, make sure that your drivers are proprietary and up to date.
We’ll be looking forward to all your comments, screenshots, crash logs, etc. at support@reikongames.com (please, write “[Linux]” at the beginning of the title) or under new threads on Steam’s RUINER forum.
Please know that we’re eternally grateful for your patience and understanding. That’s why we prepared a bunch of RUINER keys, as a token of our gratitude.
