Summary
A fun & uniquely challenging and brutal arcade game inspired by the Breakout games, with 80 levels and 4 different brick shape themes. With 4 times the challenge, and beautiful 3D visuals, you try to control FOUR different paddles at the same time on each edge of the screen, while trying to “contain” and destroy the bricks, before they drift out of the screen or reach your paddles! All the while trying to maintain control over the ball in more and more chaotic situations! The bricks have physics based collisions and are fully destructible! Controls are easy to learn, since you only need the mouse to control all 4 paddles, but it's difficult to master, since you're battling on 4 fronts at once!
Power-ups, level types and Save files.
With 20 different types of power-ups, some of which can be combined to make more powerful power-ups, there is a huge variety of fun and flavor.
The game currently has 80 levels, and more levels and themes may be added as updates to the game in the future depending on the success and popularity of the game. The 80 levels are divided into 4 different sets.
o The first set of 20 levels introduces Rectangular and Square faced 3d bricks to the game.
o The second set of 20 levels introduces Pentagonal 3d bricks to the game.
o The third set of 20 levels introduces Hexagonal 3d bricks to the game.
o The fourth set of 20 levels introduces Spherical and Ovoid shaped 3d bricks to the game.
o All these bricks are combined and mixed and matched to create more and more complex levels.
There are also 3 Save files available for use. Game balance may need improving for a few levels, which will be updated with player feedback and analysis. The game will auto save your progress between levels. You cannot save the game during a level and if you exit during the playthrough of the level then you will lose your progress for that level although stats such as total game play time, total lives lost, total power-ups collected, etc., will still be saved to the game stats page, which shows all your in-game stats in detail for all those stats lovers out there!
Special 3 Star Types and Crowns game play system
There are 3 Types of stars needed to finish a level – The “Time Left Star”, “Lives Lost Star” and “The Bricks Lost Star”. Each of these stars have Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum difficulties that can be achieved during your playthrough.
There are also 4 types of Crowns achievable, the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum crowns. The Crown achieved for each level are decided based on the minimum difficulty level achieved for each star. For example, if you have the bronze star for each Star Type, then you have achieved the Bronze Crown. If you have the bronze star for two Star Types, and a Platinum star for the third Star Type, then you will still only have achieved the Bronze Crown. Similarly, if you have a minimum of silver stars for each Star Type, you will have achieved the Silver Crown. If you have a minimum of gold stars for each Star Type, you will have achieved the Gold Crown. If you have a minimum of platinum stars for each Star Type, you will have achieved the Platinum Crown.
Unlocking levels and Progress
At the start of the game, only the first level will be unlocked. You need a minimum of a bronze star in each Star Type, or in other words, you need a minimum of the Bronze Crown, in order to unlock the next level and progress. The highest achievement possible for a level is to get the platinum difficulty for each type of Star, in other words, the Platinum Crown. But the required achievements for this are really punishing, so if you can do this then you’ve really mastered the controls and the game!
Controls and Tutorial lite
The controls are very straight forward to grasp, but surprisingly difficult to master. There are 4 paddles, one in each edge of the table. The left and right paddles move up and down the screen on one axis only, by only following the upward and downward movement of the mouse. Similarly, the top and bottom paddles move left and right on one axis only, by only following the right and left movement of the mouse.
In order to ease the player into the game, initial levels provide “helper blocks” that block random sides of a level and allow the player to focus on the other edges, while getting used to the concept of using 4 different paddles moving on different axes. But only the initial levels! Once you are past them, you’re on your own! Good luck!
