Greetings Adventurers, We’re so happy to see so many new players enjoying the game. Not only that, but our dedicated lifers continue to cleanse Fahrul. Fun fact! According to our analytics: the average player makes it to room 17.6 in Hildebrant’s Cellar before their Party Wipe. Neat. Here’s your weekend hotfixes and updates:
Fixes/Changes
- Reduced Goblin max damage from 9 to 8
- Fixed an issue where Orbs (eg: Smoke Orb, or Precious Pearl, etc...) were not sending their buff status effects across the network
- Fixed a crash that could occur when dying at the end of Frost Adventure
- Fix an issue where you would not get control back of your character if he was confused and randomly used a panax to cure himself. The panax will now cure the confuse status.
- Fixed an issue where having an immunity to confuse would still cause you to become confused by Hildebrant’s Reserve
- Fixed an issue where in a very specific set of circumstances: a hex may be shown as “explored” but would not reveal any hidden POI’s or Encounters on it. Resulting in some users not being able to find dungeons in dungeon crawl mode.
- Fixed nighttime lighting on character select screen
- Fixed the hobo becoming invisible if you selected the Demon Skin in character selection. Now you can enjoy the demon in all his shirtless wonder.
- Fixed a bug where a crash could occur at the end of a dungeon that subsequently is cleared from the world
- Added a touch of color to the dungeon room map
- Fixed an issue where you could not change the locality if loading a game from the Online Server Browser

Set off with your make-shift party, either single player, local, or online co-op. Choose to split your party up and cover more ground, or stick together for protection. For The King is a challenging blend of Strategy, JRPG Combat, and Roguelike elements. Each play through is made unique with procedural maps, quests, and events. Brave the relentless elements, fight the wicked creatures, sail the seas and delve into the dark underworld. None before you have returned from their journey. Will you be the one to put an end to the Chaos?
Fight and die as a party in fast paced and brutal turn-based combat using a unique slot system for attacks and special abilities. Find and gather herbs for your trusty pipe to heal your wounds and cure your maladies. Set up safe camps or brave the horrors that nightfall brings.
