Dear community, Displacement Studios acquired CRACKHEAD and the following changes have been performed:
- Linux/SteamOS support
- minor performance improvements
- corrections in achievements and hardware recommendations
- restored the old intro animation
- soundtrack expanded to 8 tracks, in total 43 minutes and 5 seconds
- added DirectX as dependency

About update Well ive been keeping this a secret , Some of you might know of crackheads little sister on steam SMACKHEAD http://store.steampowered.com/app/745710/SMACKHEAD/ SMACKHEAD i made on a newer version of the game making program i used to make CRACKHEAD. After making SMACKHEAD and seen the stability of it i realised i needed to make CRACKHEAD on the new program :) So over the last few months on and off ive been fiddling with CRACKHEAD on GMS2 which compared to #1 is way more stable for a beautiful game like CRACKHEAD. Now that the game is running on gms2 i believe that the most part of the community will now be able to run the game properly, Further more my code works better and i do believe ive squashed 100% of bugs but please if you find anything let me now using forums and i will fix asap dont forget to like! CRACKHEAD said it loves you all <3 ABOUT FUTURE UPDATES Now that CRACKHEAD is moved on to the new game engine i can add lots more and way better effects, I will not be editing Overdose mode as that mde is complete. Not so ez mode will see a huge update over the next month . Also the new mode Siezure mode is pretty much ready for release. you can expect to see more conent added to level editor. crackhead is going on nintendo and xbox later this year too. keep safe

Since the 60fps update theres been a few things that needs fixing so -Fixed gravity. -Fixed physics. -slowed ball. -fixed menu. -if you feel like you got cheated on a game from a previous build you can now click on the get all achievement icon in main menu. -Added loading screen when game first loads and unzips files. -Fixed other errors(spellings, Glitches and more) -decreased lives gained on level completion.

This has been by far the hardest update to do and has taken me almost half a year to complete, but finally after some graft and a lot of learning. i bring you "Drum roll please" CRACKHEAD is now at 60 fps!!! , oh yes it is and the reason its taken so long to finish it is all because all the stuff in game was set to 30 fps or drawn in at 30 fps and i had to individually (600 items) make everything half as slow in a way and that was a lot of items. Anyways done now but if you find anything whizzing around faster then usual don't panic i'll be making sure every thing runs smooth "runs smooth??" "drum roll please" Speaking of running smooth Crackhead just got a huge performance fix making everything run so much smoother then before. You can now chose out of 5 borders 6 backgrounds 5 sticks and place what boxes you want where if that makes sense. In future updates you will see more things to use in level editor -added more trips to easy mode -added more trips to overdose mode -new backgrounds added overdose -ai stick now smarter -new music added -several bugs in easy mode fixed -several bugs in overdose fixed Hope you enjoy

You need to eject your head to destroy the police blocks while blocking their projectiles from destroying your pipe, you will get - 10 score per pipe destroyed. Achievement #1 added for this mode. Gain a score of 1000 or more to unlock this achievement. -Bug fixes and improvements to other modes -Click to accept button added to epilepsy warning on game start as requested by many players What you can expect in next update New mode! Seizure mode is almost complete and i'm sure everyone who likes the overdose mode will love this mode. More visuals and more forced then ever. Today i bring you survival mode beta to celebrate the upcoming release of Survival Tycoon on steam, link below http://store.steampowered.com/app/667920/Survival_Tycoon/ The new survival mode is simple to play but can be challenging to master, Theres some features you will see added to this new mode soon to spice things up. Controls are wasda to move and left mouse button to eject your head. Also 2 player vs AI is now slightly harder as requested.
Today ive added 2 player mode with ai also a new acheivement for when you beat the ai . Its experimental really as im still adjusting the speed and collisions. If you find any bugs please report it in the forums and ill fix asap. More to come soon
Added a new box. The gravity box is now in easy mode to make things a little more fun becuase lets face it after playing overdose mode you might as well call easy mode boring mode. Fixed all the bugs in easy mode. Just like overdose mode easy mode should run more smoothly and collisions all works fine. New modes are to come but i need to make sure we have easy mode sorted first. So after a few days of feed back on the gravity box to see if anything needs changing i can introduce the new modes. Today's update brings CRACKHEAD out of beta!!!! Thanks to all the early CRACKHEAD fans that put my game from the steam workshop onto the steam store. And thanks to everyone that tested crackhead in the early stages of development. All the feedback was really helpful.
