In additions to that the Skelepals have been busy decorating the entire dungeon. You can now find Christmas Trees with presents under them all over the place!

New features Skeletal Dance Party 1.7.3
In addition to all other items from last Winter the following items can now be found in the dungeon.

• Frost Wand - Magical wand usable by Reva that casts a bolt of ice dealing area of effect magical damage.
  
• Frost Staff - Magical staff usable by minions that casts a bolt of ice dealing area of effect magical damage.
  
• Hot Chocolate - Warm milk based drink that heals Reva and minions.

Here is the winner to the art competition we arranged at Sweden Game Festival! It was incredible hard to find the best skeleton and we got a whole binder full of them now!

Afterparty
The Afterparty storyline takes place after the main story in Skeletal Dance Party. After defeating the Temple of Righteous Light and hosting a huge undead dance party in their former temple the foxgirl protagonist Reva faces her next challenge...


Clerie
A new evil threatens the land - the necromancer Clerie (voiced by Anairis Quiones). She is a new face in the underground, an interloper bent on taking over Revas territory with her own brand of necromancy: whereas Reva specializes in raising party-mad skeletons for minions, Clerie raises mindless, flesh-hungry zombie warriors (voiced by P.M. Seymour). Fiery, driven, unwavering, sharp. She holds an iron-clad set of traditional beliefs about how magic should be used, and the destiny of witches and wizards to rule the world; she is personally offended by Revas misuse of magic and sets out to claim Revas territory for herself. Shes determined, daring, deadly, and worst of all, she hates partying.

Afterparty New features



New missions
Afterparty adds 4 new fully voiced missions talking taking place after the true ending to Skeletal Dance Party. Some big spoilers are in it so playing through the entire Skeletal Dance Party first is recommended.



New enemies
Clerie has an army of powerful Zombies and even worse raised some of her own Pumpkings! The Temple of Righteous Light has also send out some of their most powerful warriors to fight the hordes of undead marching in the underground.



Churches
Places blessed by the light. In these areas the forces of light hold their stance against the undead hordes. If you happen to find yourself marching into these areas you will be faced against very powerful enemies, but also the possibility of finding very powerful items.



Exploding barrels, radioactive urns and bagpipes
New regulations means that the catacombs can now be used by the Temple for storing all kinds of dangerous materials. Explosive barrels, urns of magical waste products and possessed bagpipes can now be found. Be careful to not get to close to them. Best usage of them is to throw them at the enemies!

IndieCator
In other news Skeletal Dance Party was accepted into Sweden Game Conference's IndieCator selection. That means I'll be there and showcase the game 16-19 October.

Hello,

Here is a tiny patch that reworks how the puzzles works. The new telekinesis mechanic introduced in the Midsummer Update made it really hard to solve the puzzles. I changed the looks of them, making it much more easy to select which part to rotate.

It also makes so you can see what statues that are rotated correctly or incorrectly by the light ray above them; red for incorrect and green for correct.

Jesper from Catalope Games here. I hope that you have wonderful summer and will soon have vacation. So far my summer is going quite good, but has been a bit to much rain and thunder. Here is an update focusing on making the physics more fun and adding some special things for Midsummer!



Telekinesis
Reva has studied really hard and mastered the art of telekinesis! She can now now pick up several items at once. The effect is also much more pretty and contains magical stars, this makes it much more powerful somehow.



Midsummer
It is midsummer and thus Maypole can be found all over the dungeon. Grab your skeletal friends, dance around them and pretend to be tiny frogs! You can also find Swedish Viking Helmets on top of the poles, so push all of them down!



More fixes

• D-Pad rotates camera in correct horizontal direction.
  
• Books props have be picked up and deal damage when thrown.
  
• Spotlight can be picked up and deal damage when thrown.
  
• Eggs and baskets deal damage when thrown.
  
• Improved particle system performances.
  

Last week Reva and her skeleton gang visited Casual Connect in London. Sadly she did not win the large Indie Prize but she found lots of new friends over there (and turned some into Skeletons using deadly Swedish candy)!

We also released a tiny patch fixing some minor issues with the Scythe weapon and cutscenes ingame.

Skeletal Dance Party 1.5.8:

• Fixed bug causing minions and enemies stand still after doing one attack with Scythe.
  
• Cutscenes should no longer trigger twice, causing scrambled text.

Jesper here, I run Catalope Games. During the last days I visited Nordic Game and showcased Skeletal Dance Party. It was really fun and I saw lots of familiar faces, and several new ones.



One thing that made me specially happy is that several people said "Oh, so you are the one handing out those really cute stickers" upon meeting me.



Next week I'll be attending Casual Connect in London because Skeletal Dance Party is one of the finalist for the Indie Price! If you are also attending give me a poke.

Hippity hopp! It is Easter and that means a patch with eggs, bunnies and dancing skeletons! Time to go and steal some eggs from the Bunnymancer!



First for some awesome piece of news. Skeletal Dance Party is one of the finalists for Indie Prize 2019. That means we will be at Casual Connect in London May 28-30. If you are also there make sure to drop by and say hi to us!



Easter content
New quest: Hoppity Halls
A surreal stretch of territory, these well-hidden catacombs echo with the chittering of long-eared burrowing creatures. It is said that a powerful wizard known as Bunnymancer the Bunnymancer (and Not Very Creative) dwells here, harvesting magical eggs and turning any hapless intruders into puffy-tailed, carrot-loving bunnybones!

Unlocked after Gucha's optional Spook-ey Hole quest.

New Reva item: Hat of the Bunnymancer
A dark ritual has cursed this hat to smell like carrots. Transform a fallen corpse into a bunny skeletal pal. Bunny skeletons have increased life and a charge attack.

Can be found at the end of the Hoppity Halls quest.

Easter Decoration
The catacombs have been filled with easter eggs.

The knights of the Temple of Light are tired of loosing the battle thus theyve opened up their armory and called in reinforcements! You will now face not only knights but also wizards and bard while exploring the dungeon. All armed with new equipment!

Enemies
Each class of enemy now has a different model. In addition each level have a different skin. This gives a total of 15 different enemies to face in the dungeon.





New items
Some old items are replaced with new items with unique models. In addition all spell books have a new unique model and their stats balanced.

• Music Theory for Tone-deaf A book about how to make music. Not very good music.

I hope that you are still having a wonderful and comfy winter. I found some spare time to continue to work on Skeletal Dance Party. Thus I present Skeletal Dance Party 1.3.0: Cute Dungeon Update! It comes with new environment, jump pads, destructible walls and one of the most requested features; a minimap.

Minimap


Lost in the dungeon? You can now view the minimap using Tab, or select if playing with a gamepad.

Jump pad




Every good party needs bounce - and nothing gives more bounce than jumping pads. These nifty things can now be found in the dungeon and allows your skeletons to attack enemies from above! It also allows Reva to access some hard to reach places.

Destructible walls



Some of the walls in the dungeon are quite old and weak. Running into them will surely destroy them and reveal hidden areas!

More new things

• Added Spotlights, Large statues and small coffins props.
  
• Better item placement in dungeon.
  
• Better decorated dungeon.
  
• Added more props to hub world.
  

• Improved Steam Gamepad support.

I hope everyone have had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. Reva's skelepals partied so hard that they forgot to clean up some Christmas items in the dungeon. This patch fixes that.

Skeletal Dance Party is in the for best Action/Adventure selection at Dreamhack Winter Indie Playground! That means we'll be at Dreamhack Winter Sweden this month. If you are going to visit it be sure to pay our booth a visit.

Musical Mortuary
Help Sybil form a band. Unlocked after Sybil's Dumping Grounds scenarios. Features five new skeletal musicans you can bring to the hubworld. Will give achievement upon completion.



The final resting place for the Temple of Righteous Light''s most cherished musical legends; laureates, bard minstrels, and even a legendary polka player are buried somewhere here. But to a necromancer, it's the perfect place to scout for Sybil's new band!'


New items
To celebrate the soundtrack several music themed items have been added. These can be found on all scenarios in the game. In total 3 new hats, 3 new weapons and 2 new offhand items are added!




Skeletons

• 3 completely new voice sets for skeletal minions.
  
• Skeletons in hubworld have more puns to tell.
  

• Items dropped by lootify spell depends on target's level. More high leveled enemies will drop more high leveled items.
  
• Skeletons should be more clever with how they equip items.
  
• If an item is dropped by a skeleton other skeletons will not pick it up unless you ask them to. This makes it easier to customize skeletons to your liking.
  
• Shorten attack sound of enemy bards.
  
• Fix sound issue in scene 5 for Reva
  
• Skeletons now want to grab big milk jugs automatically.
  

Here is a patch fixing issues we noticed people had in the released version. It is mostly things related to playing with gamepads. And changing texts around.

- Steam Trading cards now drops (it is not reflected in store page for some reason however).
- Improved description of many items.
- Fixed incorrectly placed block at Gucha's ending.
- Can reconfigure controls from in game menu.
- More clear on item popup is Reva can use item or if minions can use item.
- Right Trigger is default key for telekinesis on gamepad and right stick is default key for commanding minions.
- Puppet should not be able to equip items they can not equip.
- Items used for internal purpose should no longer show up in hub world.
- Correct font in options menu.
- Do not show cursor in menus when using gamepad.
