If you're on macOS and want to test if the 64-bit version of PiB works on your system, then please try out the beta version. Here's Valve telling you how to do that: "Right-click on the game in the Steam client and select Properties. From the Properties window, click the Betas tab." Then select "testmac64bit" from there.

The US presidential election is coming! Still haven't decided who's gonna get your vote? Maybe these 10 pixel portraits of the candidates in the new room "2016 US Election" can help you decide. Also - fixed the paintings "Panda Caught in a Lie", "Hazardous Love", and "Unsportsmanlike Conduct at the Chess Match" to be solvable with regular gameplay logic (you won't need to use the Marks Mode.) So all paintings in the main game (not the Workshop) are now solvable without guessing or using the Marks Mode!

Now you can vote on paintings from within the Workshop level player, AND you can see their average rating. The more votes the better the curation, so thumbs up the good ones and thumbs down the rest! So what are "the good ones?" My definition: the image looks ok or better and it plays more fun than just mindlessly filling in the spaces. Easy paintings are fine, but there should be at least some thinking to them.

Yes! This latest update adds Workshop features to Paint it Back. Super-easy to use: From the main menu of PiB, click on Workshop, then click choose either Play or Create. Play lets you browse and play paintings created by other players of PiB. Works with either mouse or gamepad/keyboard. There's about [strike]30[/strike] 90 new paintings up there already, some by me, some by the community. Titles include "Two Lives Left, One Kind of Drunk", "Bernie Sanders", "Donald Trump", "Television is Dead", "Iron Helm", "Coin-Op Game You Die When You Die", "Hipster Cat", "Tommy Gun" ... Create is where you paint new paintings, validate/playtest, then upload to the community where they'll be playable from the Play section. This is basically like a really simple paint program, but there's a few things to keep in mind, particularly that you're creating a painting that also needs to be a fun/challenging puzzle. Check this guide here for more info. It'd be awesome to see tons of paintings get uploaded. Would love to hear feedback/thoughts in the forum about the new Workshop stuff...if you've got anything to say!

New version is up with: - A shortcut for Marks mode that can be remapped. Defaults to M key. - Added XInput. Should fix a bug on Win 7 when using XBox One Wireless. - Moved the tutorial on/off toggle to a more noticeable place. Also - I've been working on a Level Editor, which for PiB is a thing you can use to paint pictures/puzzles. I'm hoping to get this going with Workshop so that everybody can create and share their own paintings. Can't say when it'll get done as it's not the only thing I'm working on, but it's in the works!

Use the the Mark-Up Mode to test out possible moves without altering the painting. This should help on some of those pesky Master paintings if you're stuck and can't make a play.
