Got some more bug fixes and improvements for you today.
- Explosive unit AI is now more careful about killing its team mates
- Fixed crash on quit
- Fixed an issue with level generation
- Fixed an issue to do with retreating from the Hotel mission
- Fixed an issue where quick skirmishes end after the first turn
- Units no longer plant the bomb with their dying breath if they die inside the plant zone while carrying a bomb
- Now possible to play the tutorial from the main menu
- Fixed a crash caused by the AI

- Fixed some crashes to do with planning for ghost units
- Fixed being able to zoom out too far in Advance MP and Skirmish generators
- Improved wording of instructions for base defence missions and reduced timeout to 12 turns
- Miscellaneous crash fixes
- Fixed Advanced MP generator making blank Extermination Old School maps after a while
- Fixed issue with Shape Control
- When you kill a faction's HQ the faction will now die even if the leader isn't there
- Squad regen time is now shown in the selected object window on the main screen
- Now guaranteed to get a good unit after completing the tutorial mission
- Added new keyboard shortcuts (see Menu>Help>Hotkeys)
- "Stop" and "Engage on Sight" now have an icon for units when they use it
- Added some new help sections to Menu>Help and also a link to a tutorial video

Quite a few bug fixes today.
- Fixed targetting icons revealing the locations of dark units
- Fixed bug with scoring Hostage games
- Fixed bug with scoring Secure games
- Failed missions now disappear from the contracts list
- Fixed issue where you could see the walls in locked rooms using the LOS line
- Minor typo fix
- Fixed issue where game wasn't ending if the faction leader had been killed

Plenty of bug fixes today and a much requested feature.
- Fixed an occasional campaign breaking bug
- Fixed issue where you could only send 1 squad out on missions or contracts
- Fixes to Instant Skirmish
- Ducked flamethrower/minigunner can no longer kill past cover
- Fixed flamethrower/minigunner weapon 'volumes' showing up in dark modes
- Game now shows the position of a player when they launch an arc weapon (e.g. grenade launcher) in dark mode
- Improvements to Bomb Defusal map generator
- Base Defends now have a time limit for the AI to win - if they can't do it in 20 turns or less then they lose
- Enabled 'cloud saves' on Steam
By the way we've moved the macOS and Linux builds to a new branch called 'multiplatform_test'. If you want to play the game on those platforms you will need to switch to that branch until we feel that they are ready for a general release.

We've just uploaded a patch for the game which fixes a number of glitches but also adds the Skirmish Generator and full match replays!
Here are the details:
- NEW: Added an instant skirmish button and advanced skirmish generator
- NEW: Full match replay for finished missions or matches
- Fixed an issue with level generation causing inaccessible areas
- Fixed a desync/glitch to do with the pistol
- Trees and water are back
- Removed toxic grenade launcher units from some single player missions
- Various miscellaneous fixes

We've just put out another patch. Here are the salient details:
- NEW: Added "City-style" maps for multiplayer Extermination matches (see Advanced Create to use them)
- BALANCE: Machine gun has been given a minimum focus-aim distance to nerf it slightly vs shotgunners
- Many level generation problems fixed
- Fixed several issues with inaccessible areas/trapped squads
- Fixed an issue with the mission "Join The Consensus"
- Various miscellaneous fixes
We've also put out a macOS version. This still requires some testing so we're not quite ready to say the game is available for the Mac yet.
There's also a Linux build but that currently has an issue which is preventing the game from starting. We intend to put up a working Linux build early on Monday.

We've just put out another patch which should fix a few more crashes and other issues which have come to light since release.
- Fixed several exploits for Hostage games
- Fixed issue with tutorial where you could get stuck at the rocket launcher stage and not progress
- Fixed problem caused by rewinding and playing back a turn
- Fixed units spawning outside of mission area
- Misc. tutorial fixes
- Fixed crash caused by dragging a 'ghost unit' around while the turn is playing back
- Balance change: you can no longer focus aim immediately after standing up
- Fixed 'triangle rocket' crash
- Misc. bug fixes

- Splashscreens look better at resolutions above 1920x1080

We've just released an update for Frozen Synapse 2 which addresses a number of the most severe problems our users were reporting.
- Fixed issue with focus/ignore zones causing crash
- Fixed a crash caused by selecting units in multiplayer
- Added option for scaling the UI (for players with large monitors or high-DPI screens)
- Added option for changing the zooming in/out speed for the city camera
- Fixed crash caused by adding and deleting units when creating advanced multiplayer games
- Fixed problem where your squad couldn't catch up to another squad which was on the move (e.g. intercept relic)
- Fixed issue with Secure where attackers didn't have a location from which to spawn
- Updated Bomb Defusal instructions
- Fixed issues causing save corruption
We expect to have another update ready later this week.
Once again, thanks for being patient with these issues - we're working as hard as we can.

Sunday: 4k-supporting gui patch, some minor city bug fixes
Thursday: Some more significant city issues dealt with.
OSX and Linux versions and Skirmish Generator: Sept 28th (these will not interfere with ongoing bug fixing and improvements)
We're aware of some crashes in single player and some tutorial issues, and we're working on those for next week.
If you have crashes or similar, could you please mail support@mode7games.com with:

Firstly, thank you so much to those of you in the community who have been patient with us getting the game out - we really appreciate it.
We will be working to get Mac and Linux versions out as soon as possible. I will talk to everyone tomorrow and try to get a firm date for you.
I also want to take a look at the issues that people are having with UI scaling above 1080 and see if we can do anything there. To even have a chance of making this game, we had to use an engine which is a little bit venerable, so it's not straightforward but bear with us a bit - I'll see if anything can be done quickly. For now, if you're having issues, the best thing to do is play at 1080.
Wish I could do more instantly but it's late here and we need to regroup a bit before tomorrow!

Frozen Synapse 2 brings you classic tactical gameplay with a new twist: it's set within a vast procedurally generated city. We're calling it "open world tactics" - a combination of grand strategy and simultaneous-turn-based combat.
