Death of a Wish is the next game by Lucah: Born of a Dream developer melessthanthree. We are thrilled to share that a demo for this game will be available for a limited time from 10/26/23 to 11/18/23 as part of Steam Scream: The Revenge!
During this special event, we will conduct a contest where you can win a postcard from the developers by exhibiting exceptional performance in battle. This demo contains the games first two chapters, about 90 minutes of content. In it, Christians quest to defeat the Four Faiths brings him to the frozen forest of Lethean, where he will meet new allies and enemies. The demo culminates in a showdown with The Deserter, a morose fighter who once challenged the Sanctum, and consequently lost everything. The Deserter will challenge Christian with relentless strikes and a multi-grenade launcher. Only by embracing adaptability will players be able to defeat him. Progress from the demo will carry over into the full game when it releases.

Lucah: Born of a Dream is 5 years old! To celebrate, Colin will be playing more of the Death of a Wish demo, showing how far the gameplay and world has evolved from the original Born of a Dream! If you already have a save file and wish to change the game language, you can also change the language anytime during game play from the game menu (Select on a gamepad/ESC on keyboard, default controls).

Localization options will allow us to add new languages to both this game and future games, and we already have another localization project in progress! I'm very excited for more people to have access to this game, and for the option to experience the game again in a new way. Hello all, It's the one-year anniversary of LUCAH: BORN OF A DREAM's release, and it's been an emotional and rewarding journey for myself and the team since. I have been floored by the kindness and sincerity in those of you who have come to join us, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To celebrate LUCAH's first birthday, I am proud to release THE DESCENT, a free, ultra-challenging expansion to LUCAH: BORN OF A DREAM. To access this standalone story, head to this mysterious door at the end of Track 7/the beginning of Track 8, and talk to the cultist beside it - they'll let you in, if you're persistent.
This expansion features a whole new story with new enemies, encounters, a new sacrament, and big secrets to discover...if you can survive it.

Today marks the debut of the Confirmation Update, the first out of four major content updates to Lucah: Born of a Dream that will extend and expand the experience of the game.
One of the most requested features from the community has been Achievements, and the Confirmation Update adds twenty nine of them. If youve played through Lucah: Born of a Dream once thusfar, the Confirmation Update gives a perfect reason to return to the surreal dreamscape and master the combat and explore narrative branches you might have missed on your first route. If you load an existing save file, achievements will retroactively apply to your account. We are also excited to announce that Steam Trading Cards are now supported for Lucah. By playing the game, you will have the chance to earn trading cards that you can craft into customizable rewards for your profile. Writing to let you know we are up to version 1.1.3 of Lucah: Born of a Dream. The fixes in here are pretty extensive, so I'd recommend updating the game before playing if you have an earlier version. Fixes include: - More consistent confirm/cancel input in menus - Some fixes for when you swap the confirm/cancel buttons - Fixed "Early Taunt" - The amount of la you have should always be visible when it's needed (ex. Merchant) - Minor fixes regarding level design + combat encounters - Track 4 combat encounters should be less exploitable in ng+ - Minor fixes and changes to the credits - Settings should transfer over correctly from start menu -> new game (I'm not as confident about this one so let me know if it pops up again) - Revert should be a bit safer to use - Tweaks to some boss revenge and health values - Christian animator fixes This week I'll be working on some slight content updates, as well as a minor sound fix and some more menu polish for keyboard and mouse users. Expect that update to drop either this week or next. If you've been enjoying the game so far, don't forget to leave us a recommendation letting others know how you feel about the game!
