Sigma Theory Beta Update 0.12 patch note
Counterespionage The first iteration of counterespionage was too passive and required to anchor one (or more) of your agents in your country. Weve added new mechanics so you can be more proactive to prevent spy activities on your soil while using all your agents abroad. Your counterespionage service will send a notification everytime a suspicious agent lands in your country. From there, youll have a limited time to send an agent back home to counter the enemy before they leave your country with a scientist. Theres even the possibility to capture a spy for interrogation, see below. Interrogation When a spy is captured, they will be at your disposal for interrogation. This is a new feature that works a little bit like the diplomatic meeting. Its quite different though, as the prisoner has a Will level and Health level. Your goal is lowering their Will level while keeping their Health level high to prevent death. Use interrogation and torture options to get intel. Once you have everything you need, you can trade the prisoner during Diplomatic Meetings.
New agents
Organization quest system Each organization in the game has now its own quest line youll have to complete to improve your standing with them and receive advantages. This brings more backstory to the different factions while giving you clear objectives and useful rewards. But remember that dealing with certain organizations will have its fair share of diplomatic backfire.

STORY
From the creators of the award-winning sci-fi game Out There...In the near future, a paradigm-shifting scientific discovery looms over the world, promising radical new technologies. The world’s superpowers realize they could have the power to destroy the global financial system, wipe out entire countries or even gain access to immortality.
However, this discovery — called “The Sigma Theory” — can only be harnessed by a handful of scientists. You are placed at the head of your country’s Sigma division. Your objective is to ensure that it is your nation that reaps the benefits of Sigma Theory before anyone else.
To achieve this you will have powerful resources at your disposal: a cadre of the world’s most elite covert agents, advanced tactical drones and, of course, your own skills in diplomacy and subterfuge.
It’s a cold war out there, one in which mankind must face up to its future.
