- Sony DualShock 3, DualShock 4, DualSense, Microsoft Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series controllers will now be auto-detected (without need of any third party software).
- Nintendo Switch Pro controllers are also supported (wireless only).
- Pressing buttons on an input device will automatically switch in-game controller icons to match.
- Pickup items such as turtles and beer cans should no longer fall through the world.
- Several rare save/load bugs have been addressed.
- Graphics performance improvements.

If you, like so many others, have finished Firewatch and yearn to return to the Shoshone, then today is your lucky day. Firewatch's free-roam mode gives you an objective-free game world to explore, dynamic 24-hour time of day and miles of trails to hike.
Unlocked when you've finished Firewatch, you can find free-roam in the special features section of the main menu.
Patch Notes:
- Free Roam mode added (whatever language we're using for that)
- Fix issue where latest drivers for Xbox One controllers on Windows 10 had non-functional DPad input

The Firewatch Audio TourTomorrow we're launching a major update to Firewatch, and within it you'll be receiving The Firewatch Audio Tour.

A few months ago we sat down and thought it'd be great to ship a commentary mode with Firewatch, so, we did the logical next thing and started making one. And then we made some more. And then we thought it'd be neat to build some exhibits out in the forest that would show you how we made certain things in the game. Then we added a scavenger hunt. Then, after a time, we realized we didn't have a commentary mode on our hands, we had a full-on audio tour and tomorrow you'll get to play it!

On the pause menu, you can now restart the day you are currently playing. This loads a special start of day save file that is made right after the opening sequence of the day. This feature will not be present until the next time you complete a day, so the first time you load a current mid-day save after updating your game, this menu option will not yet be available to you.

Turn this on if your system is detecting input devices that you would rather it ignore.
