Salsa introduces two modules - Salt trading good, and Forum mechanic, and two more additional maps - Hispania and Byzantium!

Salt is a new kind of trading good that can not be bought or sold - it can only be acquired from Salt producing cities. It's also the most valuable of all the trading goods, as it can serve as any other good for the purposes of house construction or points scoring!

It's a good time to grab a digital board game!

Congratulations to the winner who goes by the name of NinjaAs! Congratulations to the rest of the finalists - Vitto, mexicola and pintachan. Congratulations to everyone who got to the Championship Phase - 25 best Istanbul players in the world. And congratulations to everybody who joined and played through their matches in the entire tournament!

We can not stress enough how awesome of an experience it was to run this event. Players from, quite literally, around the globe signed up and played. In the final match alone there were players from three different continents! And twenty different time zones were represented in the tournament overall!

As to some funny data The Championship Phase shaped as follows:
1. 148 rubies were gathered throughout the quarter finals, semi finals and in the Grand Final.
2. The shortest match in the Championship Phase took 16 rounds, the longest 20 rounds - and they were five players matches, mind.
3. The average number of rounds was 17.5.
3. The most wins went to the red player, that includes, quite fittingly, the Grand Final.

And finally, the prizes! Amongst the spoils were 40 codes for our various games, and thanks to the generosity of our friends at Pegasus Spiele, two Istanbul Big Boxes and two regular Istanbul tabletop game boxes are being sent to the finalists.

Let me also take this moment to officially thank Pegasus Spiele, Alderac Entertainment Group and Stately Play for helping us with this entire event. Youre awesome!

Now, the order of business! We have to, obviously, process all the applications and figure out the kinks. We have a lot of processing and planning to do (and thats awesome!), a lot more than we ever expected, so we reserve a week for that. Then it would be the real deal...

Now, full disclaimer, we simply do not know what can we expect in terms of attendance. Istanbul, for those who dont know, is a game where you become a merchant in a bustling city. Your goal - acquire a set amount of Rubies in order to win the game. In order to do that, you need to manage yourself - a merchant, and your assistants, who are crucial for the player to take any actions. Merchants are the brains behind the entire operation, but you also need grunts to do deal with the details after all. The players will acquire goods that they can trade for rubies, use as bribes or sell for coin. They can upgrade their cart to carry more goods at a time or even free their mischievous relative from jail, to then use them as a free agent. Finally a player can decide they feel lucky and try their hand at gambling for goods.

This is a fantastic game for all of you board game fans who wish to play easily on your PC, Mac or Linux. And if you like it, its also available on iOS and Android mobile devices. With a full cross platform support it doesnt matter what system or device you and your friends are using, you will still be able to play a game together no matter what!
