Induction Update 1.1.0
[ 2021-02-26 18:36:47 CET ] [ Original post ]
This update moves Induction to the latest stable version of the Unity engine, which means the desktop version of Induction will be in sync with ports to other platforms, coming later this year. Unfortunately this means version 1.1.0 will not support some older operating systems. If you're affected by this, the "legacy" 1.0.5 version of Induction will still be available - right click Induction in your Steam library, select "Properties...", select "Betas", then select the "legacy" branch. This update makes a few other small changes.
Changes
- Minor redesign the the level select interface
- Game is no longer letterboxed to 16:9
- Faster loading
- Additional translations to German and Korean
- Credits are accessible through the "About" menu
- When using a gamepad, the right stick can be used to control time flow, in addition to shoulder buttons
- Time portals more accurately show revealed timeline
- Fix a bug that could cause replays to sometimes not play

Induction is an abstract puzzle game about time travel and paradoxes.
You are given the ability to jump through time, and are tasked with exploiting its counter-intuitive consequences. You must learn to choreograph your actions across multiple timelines, and to create strange loops of cause and effect, where the future depends on the past and the past depends on the future.
Induction does not pander, but gives players the satisfaction of mastering an imaginary yet honest set of physical laws.
Induction features a soundtrack by Melbourne-based electronic composer and Gotye touring musician Tim Shiel.
"A mind-bending foxtrot of timelines."
- Levi Rubeck, Kill Screen
"Induction hurt my brain. It still hurts my brain, but there is no question that the game is brilliant."
- Jacob Wood, IndieHangover
"Leads the player down the path of exploration and discovery as they are forced to communicate with the game on its terms."
- John Lindvay, BigSushi
