Just like how things were back in my visual novel days, except this time, players will have to earn these rewards. See, I used to think if your game has a serious setting, any game-like element will take players out of the experience. Achievements, bonuses etc. But then I played Resident Evil Revelations 2, and that game has extra challenges players can complete. If a series I admire can acknowledge it is "still a game", who am I to act like I am too cool to do the same? And so, the key chapters of Clea will contain optional objectives for players to take on. Succeed, and the rewards will be yours.
It will not be easy, though, because these medals are only available on hard mode or above. Will you have the skills and fortitude needed to 100% this game? Clea is counting on you.
