Hiya! I know many of you are looking forward to Night and Day's final release... Unfortunately, I'm still in coding hell, and I'll need some weeks more to sort everything out. I prefer not to give a date until I've made sure that everything works as it should, the script is thoroughly edited, and the game has been beta-tested, but I can assure you everyone involved is doing their best. In August, I took a week off (for my brain's sanity, as the hours of coding variables was driving me insane) to work on a side project: every year, I try to take part in the Yaoi Game Jam, usually making a demo for a future project. This year, since I'm knees deep in Night and Day and the next project is already waiting (Deep in the Forest), I opted for transforming an old pirates AU fanfiction of mine into an original Visual Novel. Hence, I only had to translate the text into English, make a few changes, and voil! Jolly Roger is served! The artist for this project is Aielia Poot, who also made a bunch of cutscenes illustrations for Night and Day and is now eager to work on more BL games. I'll consider bringing Jolly Roger to Steam in the future, but for the moment you can find it on itchio, for free, as all my other jam or short projects. Enjoy!

Great news! Our more recent BL Visual Novel, Lurkers, was released yesterday!

Lurkers is a short thriller revolving around the Jack the Ripper crimes. It features around 35k words, two suspects, three love interests, one bad ending if you choose the wrong culprit, and one good ending plus additional conclusions with the love interest of your choice, or a solo/friendship conclusion if you prefer. The rating is 15+.

Hello, I hope you're all healthy and fine! Just a quick message to let you know Night and Day, my new project, will be live on Kickstarter next week, on June 1st. Night and Day is a BL Visual Novel set in Paris in 1950, and it's a story about art, coming of age and jazz music. The demo is available on Steam (Windows version only) and itchio (Win, Linux and Mac), and although some side characters haven't got a sprite yet, the finished version will show all the characters. Apart from that and a couple of CGs missing, the demo is mostly in its final version, so please, check it out! The game has been updated with the Spanish translation AND also the voice actors' bloopers. Check the "Extras" options!

Our voice actors had a great time recording their lines and were so kind as to share with us some of their unlucky takes... or added some spicy comments! The French translators are still at work, but they promise MBH will have its French version very soon. So, apart from that, the only missing thing to do for My Burning Heart is the after stories, which will be worked on during the summer. I hope you're looking forward to seeing what happens to Adnan and his love interests next! I also wanted to remind you that the digital art book of My Burning Heart is available on itchio, with all the art of the game, sketches, concept art, and a short story with some past events between the Sultan Abd al-Rashid and our despicable Great Visir. Thanks to the quick and helpful Steam support, the bug we found last week when updating the game is now fixed! So the German version now works fine and there shouldn't be any issue with the CG gallery. If everything goes well, the Spanish version will be added next week ;) Please, report if you find any other bug; especially with Mac, since none of my team members are Mac users.

Night and Day is a dating sim visual novel about art, coming of age and jazz music.

Our protagonist, Paul, moves to Paris in 1950, pursuing his dream of becoming a great artist. He will meet an assortment of other "bohemians" trying to live out their dreams, being it becoming a painter as Paul, a writer or a jazz musician.

The demo is available on itchio.

What you will find on the demo:

• The first two days and a half of Paul's new life in Paris! (around 10k words) We get to meet Ferdinand, Gilles and a bit of Emile.
• Stats system, Paris map and CG gallery implemented.
• Paul and all the love interests have finished sprites.
• All the necessary backgrounds are in the game, although two of them lack a night version.
• One CG.

There's a longer, more complete demo planned for next month, before the launch of the Kickstarter, that will include:

• The first four days: Paul gets to know Emile better and meets Bernard.
• Stats screen implemented (showing calendar, stats, money, and affection points with each love interest).
• Denis, Nathalie and Ophelia will have finished sprites.
• The two missing night versions of the backgrounds will be there.
• One additional song.
• Two CGs more.

By the way, I'm taking out the flower shop scenes from the demo, except the first one, when we get some needed explanations: it would make the demo too long, and I don't know if people will be that interested about that part. Just so you know the complete game won't have just a "you go to work, you earn X points, X money": not my cup of tea. The finished game will show sprites for ALL the characters in the game, too. Feedback is much appreciated! We need your comments in order to fix issues and improve the game! Remember you can get frequent updates if you join our Patreon ;)

Today A Hand in the Darkness has been banned from Steam.
It was only a matter of time, to be honest, since the game doesn't comply with the current Steam guidelines (it did in 2017, when it was released, although it was always in a grey area, same as all the other games with adult content but whose main focus isn't set on the erotic scenes). As the ones who follow my Twitter or Facebook might know, the game was about to get a DLC with after scenes, featuring Alex' relationship with his chosen love interest some years into their future, and also brand new characters sprites, sharper and with more expressions, two CGs and some new scenes. For now, A Hand in the Darkness and the DLC will be only available on itch.io. I guess the ones of you who bought the game but never got to play it or have less than an hour of playing time can ask for a refund on Steam. Especially if you bought the game through this platform: since MBH is marked as "adult-only", we don't appear in searches or any kind of internal promotion on Steam, so this would really help us! Hello, guys! Excited for the release? So do I! Our awesome artist, 6nii9, has finished all the CGs for the game and one additional background is on the works! Sadly, my part, the script and coding, is progressing more slowly due to my day job being super stressful lately. The good part is that it will be over in ten days, and then I'll be able to devote myself to work full time in VNs development! Even so, we are pressed for time so the first release will be English only, so we can give the translators their needed time to do their work. The voice acting will be implemented in July for the same reason. Now that Chasing the Stars is complete, I'm happy to move forward to My Burning Heart! We (6nii9 and I, Ertal) will run a Kickstarter campaign from Februrary 11th to March 11th, in order to get the basic funds to keep the project going: I've already paid for the lovely backgrounds made by the talented Badriel, and also for the commercial license to use the music tracks in the game, plus 6nii9's only income comes from art commissions. So the Kickstarter money will go to cover the game developing expenses and to support our artist!
