Fixed a rare bug where fertilizing empty plots occasionally produces saves that cannot be loaded. This update can load those saves. Thanks to RIck for reporting this issue.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update today:
Verdant Skies 1.3.2 went live last night. Most notably it contains a fix to a pretty big usability issue with the character customizer. This bug prevented newly created characters from changing the selected item of clothing without a few extra clicks. Version 1.3.0 included a major interface rewrite and got a lot of testing as a result. Unfortunately, this bug was introduced late in the 1.3.0 release cycle after the testing had uncovered some controller issues. Those fixes introduced the character customizer control issue. It also only occurred for new players, since they didn't have clothing items written to their save file yet, which made it a bit harder to find the bug via normal testing. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue! Thanks to everyone who reported it and described the issue. It's a huge help in finding and fixing bugs! Full change list:

Welcome to all the new fans of Verdant Skies! We've had a few updates since 1.2 released, so here's a summary of the new stuff. New Features:
We're happy to announce Verdant Skies 1.2: The Storage Update! This new content update focuses on several different storage related improvements (plus some other goodies, of course!). A new storage box can be constructed very cheaply, and you can place as many as you need to store your goodies. But that's not all; a new collection shop contains all the cosmetic items you've ever unlocked. So you can repurchase items you've lost, sold, or been unable to store. Or maybe you just really want 15 mannequins for your house. To help with seed and animal DNA storage, the transgenic splicer upgrade allows you to combine different species of crops and animal samples. If you're trying to upgrade multiple seeds, this really reduces the number of seeds you need to keep in storage. We've also added seed labels, which let you keep track of your favorite combinations at a glance! The labels show up on the crops grown with the seeds too! Finally, now that we've been our for three months, we're starting our first sale! We're participating in a weeklong deal, and Verdant Skies will be 33% off for a week- starting now. New in version 1.2.0: New Content:

* Change Wyatt's 9th event to have less complex pathing so he's less likely to get stuck. * Deconstructed color rugs retain their color! They are colored more consistently throughout the UI also. * Rare drop achievement fixes. * Fix a few of Zaheen's daily dialogs. * Fix controller issues swapping genomes into animal incubator.
Thanks everyone for your continued support and for finding and reporting bugs in the game! * Nova Pepper seeds are now available in the mountains * Upgraded the caves a bit to increase the number of available gems, especially for early-game players. * Made the art more clear for different types of ore veins. * Added cave mushrooms, which can be sold for money to make the caves a bit more interesting. * Fix a few placable items, including Zaheen's short bookcase and Yuki's Jewelry * Another pass at some achievment and stuck quest stuff. * Fix a typo in Nessa's marriage event that caused a bad jump. * Fix an error if you play without an internet connection :O * You can now deconstruct the fabric machine, the wood stain mixing machine, and Zaheen's bookcase. * You can now marry someone without needing to fill up their last bar. So marriage events will occur right after you schedule them. * Adjust what triggers the "Let's have a baby" events. * Unlock Ramon achievement will be earned if you already had him unlocked. * Fix many other achievements that weren't being checked.
We just pushed version 1.0.3! * Ramon can now be unlocked. Visit Rosie's house if you've already seen the event. * Fix dialog branches where you could get stuck trying to be Best Friends with Wyatt, Anthony, Miles, and Zaheen. * Fix a similar issue if you choose not to date Nessa where you'd get stuck with 6 hearts but no Best Friends icon. * Fix an issue where you get stuck when you go inside a house with your garden hose. * Fix several issues around gathering products from animals. * Better buttons to examine your Steam Workshop mods. * Nessa's second heart event can now occur at any time during the day. * Decrease the max time before ore deposits spawn. This roughly equates to a 37.5% increase in ore per day. * Add a small markup to certain shop items.
* Fix changing controls from the title screen * Rebound controls now save properly * Fix Emma's 5th relationship event getting stuck. * All animals should fit over the bridge now, when you're leading them on a rope * Prevent furniture from being placed in the void around the inside of your house. * Prevent furniture from being placed outside your home where future expansions go. * Fix some gaps in the wallpaper of the largest player house. * Fix various dialog references: Need the plaza to make the west expansion, some incorrect capitalization, etc. * Saving and reloading no longer allows you to get extra friendship. * Fix the first fishing and western expansion achievements. * Fix to the Anthony tool upgrade quest not completing. * There are now 4 different events when you pass out, depending on how many characters you've unlocked.
* You can now properly deconstruct animal pens and large beds. * The quests to recruit Skye and Kenji now complete properly, regardless of what order you do them in. * Codes for secret cosmetic items can be used more than once if the item can't be sold for money. ( Fruitbat's wallpaper, for example ) * Fixed an issue with the marsh quest if you tried to enter the marsh earlier that day. * Extend the range of the paint brush and hammer on the largest player house. * You can release an animal that doesn't have a pen. Announcing Mod Support!
Customize artwork, dialogs, mails, items, crafting recipes and more using the Verdant Skies modding system! Since development started, we knew we wanted to support modding. We're allowing users to use the same methods we used to create the content for the game to create their own content.
Load multiple mods at once, and sort them in priority order (if mods override the same content, the one on top takes precedence).
With the modding system, you can override just about any artwork in the game. We also provide an option to export the artwork of character you've created in the dressing room, to make it much easier to create new characters. You can add new items, and decide what is needed to craft those items:
All of the character events were created using our dialog editor, which is fully available to mod authors. This scripting is easy to jump into, you don't need to know a programming language to make something really neat. You can add events to existing characters, replace events, or even add new characters. You can also create mails and quests. Each character's core info can be changed too - such as their schedule, where they wander, if they require exclusive dating, their pet names for the player, and the things that they collect.
Right now, there are a few limitations. While all the quests in-game were created by this system, a few of them have special triggers in the code that you won't be able to replicate. These are mostly tutorial-type quests that trigger when you do something special, like grow your first crop in the marsh. At launch, you won't be able to create new houses for your new characters... fortunately, players can construct a visitor lodge with plenty of room for new NPCs. And finally, we're still working on a way to allow modders to specify their own waypoints when scripting events that include a lot of walking.
New Tool Upgrades
Here's some more awesome icon work from Sarah Seember Huisken. Upgraded fishing spears throw faster and your catch radius increases - making it easier to get the elusive '3 fish with one spear' achievement.
