Photo: Rainfer There are some people who think a chimpanzee makes for a good pet. By the time they realize that the animal isn't suited to captivity, it's too late. Chimpanzees are frequently forced to perform unnatural tricks in circuses for audiences' amusement. Many primates are kept in zoos with unimaginable conditions, unable to get the care and companionship they need. Rainfer helps these animals to recover from their traumas and return to their natural habitats. The Center is currently home to chimpanzees, gibbons, orangutans and capuchin monkeys.
