Camera Rig Improved the way in which the camera follows the selected chess piece around. the camera's movement is smoother than before, and clamps so that it doesn't meld into the walls. Also, the new camera rig looks straight down when pawns fall to their death. Environment Added new medieval style buildings to the scene to cover up some of the background color that was there before. These new buildings change as you progress through the levels. The background color in the game was changed from purple to charcoal gray to put less emphasis on the background color in the game. Also darkened the pit area, giving it the illusion of being in shadow.

Smooth Shading Added smooth shading to all of the chess pieces to remove the faceted faces giving the pawns a much more rounded appearance. Missing Stars Level 29 was missing 2 out of 3 stars. Thanks to EranKrief for reporting this bug in the Discussions. I wouldn't have known about it without your post. Right Click Tip After watching a few people play the game on YouTube, I noticed a few individuals didn't quite understand that they could right click to deselect a chess piece. I watched one player continuously throw his pawns into the pit because he seemed to believe that it was the only way to let the piece go. Now, whenever you cross the board with any piece (other than the King), a popup message appears to remind you to right click to deselect the piece. This message will continue to appear until you actually follow the instructions, and then you'll be left to remember it on your own for the rest of the game. If you have discovered any bugs, please be sure to let us know in the Discussions. Thanks for playing. Please let us know what you think of the game by leaving a review.

Almighty Games is excited to release "Hail To The King" on Steam. In fact, so excited, that I decided to push the "Release" button one week early! The game is ready to be played. We're looking for feedback, which could lead to updates in the near future. Please leave your comments in the discussions. We'll review your comments and make adjustments to the game once we feel like we've collected enough information. If you report any serious game-blocking bugs, of course I'll update the game to get it working for you (if at all possible). If you want to see "Hail To The King" become more successful, you can help by sharing your thoughts on Twitter or sharing videos of you playing the game on YouTube. We appreciate your public feedback and spend a good amount of time checking out your videos and comments. Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy the game! :)

I spent some time fixing a few bugs in preparation for the launch on January 11th. The latest builds for Windows, Mac and Linux are now all up to date too. Walking Dead Fixed a bug where the player was able to continue moving even after the chess piece had fallen through a broken tile. This caused some problems with the player's ability to select their next piece. User Interface A few minor adjustments to the UI, such as adding a missing outline to the score at the end of each level and making the Level Selection Screen minimize while other menus are active. Localization Changed button names for the Language Selection screen. Some of the language choices were incorrect. Also updated some of the localization in the game. The Last Star Fixed a bug that didn't reward the last star if the King collected it while finishing the level.

Watch The Dev The developer for Almighty Games runs a daily live stream on Twitch.tv. Check out AlmightyGamesDev on Twitch for more details. You can catch Billy working online live and participate in conversations and maybe even help out if you like. Localization We are currently working on translations for localization. There really isn't a lot of content to read in the game, but we want to make sure that all supported languages have been verified by fluent language speaking individuals.
