BREAKING NEWS: 2020 edition!

Well guys, it's been a while. How have you all been? I'm fine, myself. Real fine. In fact, *so* fine I've been working on a little something-something that I wanted to show it to everyone.

This *might* end up being Clam Man 2.



[h3]The idea is simple. [/h3]Or is it? Yes, it is. The plan is to make it an isometric combatless RPG-lite in which everyone's favorite Clam-based protagonist ends up performing comedy at a (literally) underground comedy club. See, I told you it was simple.

I'm currently working on a prototype demo,[/h3] which I'm hoping to share as soon as its done. There's already a lot of dialogue in the game - one quest is about 15% the length of Clam One.



I'm posting more progress on our twitter all the time, so feel free to follow the development there! (@clam_team - this is the handle but you can just click this whole darn thing)

Regarding Clam Man 2:

I'll be honest - the teaser for Clam Man 2 was added to the game as a complete joke. We had no plans for a sequel, simply because we had no idea where to go from here. But since we released, so many people have expressed their interest and excitement for a return to the world of Snacky Bay and a continuation of the world of Clam Man. Partially, this is probably because of the brevity of Clam Man 1, but it's still a wonderful thing to hear. People want more Clam Man.

Well, say no more.

Bugfixes!

First of all, thank you all so much for the kind words and support! It's crazy to us that so many people have played and enjoyed our game!



We may have playtested the game a bunch, but there's always going to be new issues - please let us know if you find something or have an issue somewhere! Most of the time, the issues can be temporarily solved by going back to the main menu and resetting the scene, but please let us know anyway so we can make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else!

We're currently working on patching an issue with the final scene, along with some small fixes that don't affect the gameplay as much - thanks to our players who told us about these issues! You da real team clam.

The release is coming up! Achievements are in!

Quick update everyone - the game build is just about done! The last thing on our list was the achievements, which are now in the game! We're incredibly excited about Clam Man and we hope you are too.

We've also updated our Steam page with some new graphics! It looks way better now! Right? Doesnt it? Eh? Just a little?

Just a few more days, and our debut title is up! That's crazy!

QUICK UPDATE - WE'RE GETTING THERE - MUSIC IS PRETTY COOL

Hey everyone!

Here's a quick update because we've been super quiet lately:


  • The game is coming along real nicely! Right now, we're fixing bugs, adding sound effects and polishing dialogue. We're well on time though.
  • Our composer has finished about 60% of the soundtrack so far, and we're super excited about how it's turning out. We can't wait for you guys to hear it.
  • To all our Indiegogo backers: Most of your rewards, such as items and portraits, are in the game already!


That's all from me for now. Gonna go back to doing important dev stuff.
