Hey Dashers! We are at a very special moment in Double Dash's history. In October 22nd, we'll be completing one year since Sky Racket's release! This game is our first launch and that makes it even more special for us, and it wouldn't be possible to release it if it weren't for all of you who bought, played and supported our work all this time. That's why we want to do something to celebrate this moment together. From From October 18 to October 28, you will find in the map a unique level and Boss for you to face and have a little more fun with our game! But what do those levels have that make them so different? They are based on Sky Racket's first version! A small project that was called "Racketboy" back then, and was made in 72h for the Indies VS Gamers Game Jam, a game developing competition. We knew we had a good game in our hands when we got first place in this competition, and that feeling is confirmed whenever we see one o you playing, laughing, talking about and having fun with Sky Racket. Shall we review what "RacketBoy" was like? [previewyoutube=Tz8jeIwwrmM;full][/previewyoutube] And those levels represent the project that became everything Sky Racket is 4 years later. You will see the original looks of some characters, the original soundtrack, and the original difficulty of the game, which was a little higher than the current one, so beware!

Bug Fix:

Our beloved heroes got some performance upgrades on their scarves and rackets! Now they can fly so much better that they were even featured at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase to let you know that Sky Racket is now available on the Nintendo Switch!

About the Update

A lot of things happened since the release of Sky Racket (October 2019) and we've spent the last months working hard to make it an even better experience for you all. Our objective was optimizing the game, making it more accessible for less bulky computers and polishing a few graphical and gameplay issues reported by our players. [h1Updates

• We have created a loading screen, so there are no more moments where you are just waiting on a black screen with no idea of what's going on. There's a cute little animation with RacketBoy and RacketGirl to pass the time. We also used this screen to give away some tips and trivia about the game.
• We also used this Loading moment to improve our pre-loading of level elements to optimize how they spawn in the game and reduce lagging. We want the game running as smooth as possible in less powerful machines!
• Recreating the "movement calculation system": Now our enemies and background objects will use a lot less processing power from your CPU, saving up calculations that, previously, had to be done numerous times. Now movement is a lot smarter! :3
• Adjustments on the way the game creates and destroys elements in the game that are necessary for each level in the game, optimizing memory use and management and improving game performance.
• Proofread some translated texts in the game.
• Updated and created several "rumble moments" for whoever uses rumble controls (such as the Xbox controller or Dual Shock) to increase immersion in the game (plus it's really fun!)

We have great news! Sky Racket was just released for the Nintendo Switch! We were also selected by the Big N to feature on their Indie World Showcase, where they announced the game's release. To us is a big accomplishment to have our game being recognized through this event, where only the best indie games are featured! Ohayo, minna-san! Were back bringing three nice changees, motivated by two very important reasons: reaching as many people as we can with an accessible experience and always trying to make the game better for whos already here with us having fun.

• Japanese localization!
  This update adds Japanese as one of the supported languages in Sky Racket! We are always looking into reaching new people all over the world, thats why we want to make the game as accessible as possible for everyone. We hope to find a new public that can enjoy the game playing Sky Racket in their native language.
  
• Control mapping update We want you to be as confortable as possible playing Sky Racket. We made some changes to the control mapping so the game can recognize different controllers and arcade sticks, so you can adapt your playing style.
• OST release! A lot of people were asking for it, so now the Original Sountrack for Sky Racket is finally available on Steam! Not much more to say here, because we know you guys will want to listen to some funky tunes now.

Hello everyone! So, we hope you're all enjoying Sky Racket these past few days. We have been watching some gameplay videos and streams, reading reviews and listening to your feedback! So we prepared an update to address some issues in the game. Specially regarding a certain Boss battle that might be too challenging (We're looking at YOU, Tennistar!) Here's a list of what's changed in this Update. If you had trouble fighting Tennistar or Korrg, please revisit them after this update and let us know what you think. • Adjustments made to Tennistar

- We tweaked some numbers to make him less challenging. Still difficult tough. - Bullets are now destroyed when the player dies, stopping Tennistar to keep playing against himself like a dummy and being defeated.(Yes, that happened) - Fixed an issue that made Tennistar serve twice in a row. - Fixed the way that the 50 strikes mission was shown in the pause menu. Now, the progress bar does a countdown showing how many strikes you have left.

• Adjustments made to the spores on set 2-2

- Spores are now destroyed when you fly through them. - Added a visual effect when Spores are destroyed.

• - Fixed issues where some objects were not adding to the Combo Counter.

- FlowerDuck's hat - The final Boss' weakspot - Luchanuki's head

• - Adjustments made to Luchanuki

- Now his illusions can be destroyed by attacks - Fixed a bug where Luchanuki's clones would spawn tanukis twice in a row after being destroyed

• Adjustments made to Korrg (First stage) so his fight is more dynamic and a bit shorter. But beware, he's a bit more challenging as well!
• Implemented a Vsync option in the Video settings.
• - Fixed our button exibition system on the menu, allowing it to recognize different controls, and fixing some "white square" issues.
• - Our bug report system now includes the Build's version in the report.
