It's a boy!
During the weekend one of our dog had a little baby dog It's a boy, weighing 160g. We named him Viking because he's a warrior, just like his father, King. It's been a rough week managing this alongside the Kickstarter campaign, but I'm glad to have the end in sight. I'm humbled by all the support you guys have shown in the comments, on Discord, Twitter, Reddit, in the game world, and through my emails.
THANK YOU!
I hope to see Paper Sky fly

Embarking on this crucial step of Paper Sky's journey is not just a pivotal moment for the gameit's a defining chapter for me. With my experience making my first game Crumble and 8 years of thinking about how to bring this ambitious game to life I am confident that with your help I can bring my dream to life. The development so far has been self-funded with the Crumble money and the assets sales and now is the time to bring Paper Sky to full development and get it launched! To do this I need the additional resources that crowdfunding is made for, but more importantly I want to build a community full of people who love what I'm doing and want to support me! Let's fold this paper plane together!
Hello Crumble community, long time no see. crumble
I recently published my new game called Tiny Atolls on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2246640/Tiny_Atolls/
TINY ATOLLS is a minimalist building strategy game that centers around the art of forging meaningful connections between different types and colors. The higher the number of connections you establish, the greater your score and the more tiles you can strategically position.
Right below, you'll find the schedule for upcoming content releases, leading up to the game's grand finale:
I'm truly grateful for the incredible support you've all shown me from the very beginning, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks. Additionally, I have some exciting news to share: I'll be unveiling the successor to Crumble, a highly ambitious game project, in the upcoming month. I can assure you that you're in for a treat with this one. Furthermore, there's a special surprise planned for March 2024 to support the development of said project. So, keep your eyes peeled for more updates and surprises on the horizon! Cheers, The guy who made the blue ball game

What's next?
I will be releasing the official Crumble OST end of April. I chose the best 17 tracks and will remaster them to a professional standard (they will later be implemented in the game). It will be available on youtube as an album, comment below this post if you want to suggest me another platform to release it on. I have a big surprise coming next month for those waiting for the game to release on a bigger console. happysunface This update will be the last major update, I'm going to move on and start new projects very soon. I really didn't think so much people would play and respond positively to my game. It started as my own little project and now it has become your game. From the bottom of my heart; thank you p2cube I hope you will follow me and my projects in the future to come and that I won't disappoint. So long, much love Matthieu from BRUTE FORCE
Crumble received new party mode levels to play with friends!
I just released new free content for Crumble, new party mode levels to play with friends on the couch or using the Steam Remote play together feature. From 2 to 4 players. The game is on sales right now, do not miss it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1061180/Crumble/
2 new race levels:
2 new survival levels:
To this I added a new algorithm to better choose the levels you are going to play based on how many rounds you set, you will never get the same map back to back.
A completely redone and more accessible 5C level (releasing [strike]tomorrow[/strike] in 2 days):
A final polish to the player's movement, no more stuttering crumble
This is the last major content update for Crumble, there are still 2 big updates coming up next month; namely the Mac port (I have received many interests from the apple users enough for me to make it worthwhile) And the Nintendo Switch final update. If you are interested in the soundtrack I made for Crumble you'd be please to know that it is releasing for free next month as well. You can get more frequent updates at my Twitter.
Crumble is now available on the Nintendo Switch!
Today January 3 Crumble has released on the Nintendo Switch store worldwide, this is a huge milestone for me and for my game. If you've been following the game's updates and news and you are interested in the Nintendo Switch port here are some links: America: https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/crumble-switch/ Europe: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/Crumble-2090110.html

Some updates recap:
I've been pushing updates left and right for almost 2 weeks now and if you don't follow my Twitter here's a quick recap.
Smooth Camera movement:
A bit hard to see in a gif The camera has now an independant uncapped frame rate, it feels very smooth and it's definitely more enjoyable to play with this feature. This was a long time coming update and I'm glad I was able to implement it now. Some levels still have the old camera system due to the nature of the animated physics: 2E,3D,4D,6,7C
Snow level designs improvement:
More checkpoints have been added, more platforms to utilize, and globally an easier challenge than before. I've been receiving negative comments about how unfairly hard those levels were to casual players and decided to slightly change the snow levels without removing the fun of the new mechanics.
New Secret levels:
I've released 3 secret levels so far, one katamari-inspired level, one new marathon level and one survival level. More are coming soon, I've been a bit delayed due to the switch release. There's also going to be a special party-game content update that will aim to double the content and generally improve the multiplayer experience.
And of course Happy New Year everyone!
The Snow World update is finally here and and it comes with a completely reworked optimization system.
Snow world has now been released in Crumble, 4 new levels with new mechanics and visuals.
Secret levels will unlock almost everyday until the end of the Steam Winter Sales
Crumble is currently 40% off during the event, a great occasion to join the fun
A new and big update is coming for Crumble,
The Snow content update will release on December 22, it will include a new world, new levels, new mechanics, new optional levels and a fully updated and remade optimization system that significantly boost performances even on high quality settings for all levels. Every shaders in the game have also been reworked. Here's some quick gifs of what to expect in this brand new update:
On a side note Crumble will release on Nintendo Switch on January 3rd, so if you've been waiting for the switch version you can mark down the date on your calendar. See you in a few days happysunface

Have a great week everyone! crumble
Small update, fixing some bugs and small level design optimization!
Bugs:
- Fixed a rare bug that would allow you to do a mega super jump at the end of any "2D" level type
- Bright light evolving into a massive black hole on your screen and eating away your display has been tamed, it is now much less likely to happen! (It used to happen in level 5C and 6)
Optimization:
- The bloom emitted by the lava has been reduced by 30%
- Level 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D are now a little bit easier (more frequent checkpoints and more tolerant precision platforming)
- In Level 1C a wooden log has been scaled up near the end of the race
Have a great week-end everyone! crumble
A lot of small stuffs, including the annoying random crash when finishing a world. Here they are:
Features:
- A gameplay option has been added to the game, it is called "Camera assist" and will allow you to turn on/off the automatic camera turning event in some levels. It is on by default.
- The score required to unlock stars in levels has been greatly improved to make it easier to unlock, around 1 minute added to each stars (roughly).
Bugs:
- Random crash happening when completing a new world has been fixed, if you're still experiencing crashes please report them in this update entry! surprisedstar
- Removed the "Infinite Jump" cheat that was hidden in the terminal
- Coming back from the transition scene when loading a level to the main menu will not bug out the cinematic black bands anymore
- When going into the trigger event in 2A (bursting out of the clouds) and reloading the level, the player's movement will now be properly reset.
- The blob achievement in the demo version of Crumble is now completely fixed!
Optimization:
- The automatic turn event will now trigger only past a fixed velocity threshold. Making slow turns less confusing.
- Added death triggers behind the last choochoo train in 3E
- The stuttering of the player in 2A has been greatly reduced
- Some colliders have been optimized to deal with high velocity more efficiently, especially in 2E with the snakes!
- Some UI sizes have been polished
- Camera event in 3B (the air hoops thingy) has been polished, you won't get stuck on a random platform with a still camera watching you slowly fall to your death.
What's next?:
I'm still working hard on the Nintendo Switch version, I plan on supporting more languages; for now Crumble supports: English/French/Spanish/German/Russian/Japanese/Chinese. And I want to finish working on extra optional levels to release on the same day as the Switch port! A tool to customize skins (with workshop too) is in gear. Lastly I'm working on adding Stickers/Animated backgrounds/Animated profile pictures and other steam community stuffs that I think look very cool crumble Have a great day everyone!
Update only for the demo:
The new demo is up, with a brand new millisecond leaderboard, new supported languages and better optimization. Now i'm just waiting on valve to validate my trading cards concepts so I can spam the crumble emoticons.
Small update concerning new languages: Features:
- Chinese, Japanese and Russian added!
- The font used for UI texts has been optimized and now takes 8x less memory to load. This should solve some crash issues on leaderboard load.
Let's get right to it: Bugs:
- Fixed the return button in audio settings having a weird backdrop
- Fixed a crash occurring for some players after loading the leaderboard once they leave a level
- The language debug key has been removed so you won't get stuck on french forever (hon hon)
- Some additional texts have been added to the translation dictionary
- The Party Mode menu is now more clear on how to select levels
- Speedrunner option to erase current progress has been added, it is located inside the option tab in the main menu, it is called "Reset progress" and will have confirmation required (this will only reset your local best time and stars, not your skins or blobs collected, also it doesn't erase your scores of the leaderboard obviously)
- Spanish language added
- Mouse cursor will now disappear when using the controller in menus
Alright, now 1.05 is a biggie! Bugs:
- Native inputs are restored for Linux users
- The exploit in the pinball level 01F has been removed
- The leaderboard in the level selection has been greatly improved and optimized, it will now store all the loaded entries in its memory.
- New languages for the interface texts have been added: French and German.
Bugs:
- Level 3G does not give the wrong achievement anymore for those who haven't finished world 4
- Level 2H the debug key has been removed permanently, I have also removed any leaderboard entry that may have used that exploit to get a good place in the leaderboard (sorry)
- The leaderboard is now correctly hidden away when loading the game in offline mode
- I have added the leaderboard on the level selection for more simplicity and clarity, so now you can simply check your rank on any levels without having to finish them. I will make an optimization of that leaderboard later on to keep in memory the leaderboards loaded (this feature may provoke some unexpected crashes for some, so if you do have one please tell me)
Next up: multi-language support for all the interface texts starting with french (because I'm french), and a speedrunner button to reset any progress except skins and blobs (just the timers and level progression, including stars)
Here we go: Bugs:
- Fixed the controller "B" image randomly showing up while playing the game with a mouse in the menu
- Fixed a rare bug (not so rare for speedrunners apparently) where dying at the same frame as restarting the level through the menu would either disable your inputs or make the rocket starts at the last checkpoint. By fixing this issue I have also made the death process 0.05 seconds quicker.happymeat
- Added images to every achievements.
- Submitted trading cards/badges/background profiles and emotes to the steam staff for review.
And a badge level 1 to level 5:
The leaderboard on the level selection is the only big thing left to do, some speedrunner options would be nice too!
Some small fixes: Bugs:
- Vibration option in the pinball level 1E will be correctly applied
- The mouse option for vibration has been removed, apparently a mouse doesn't vibrate
- A Frame Cap to 60FPs option has been added in the video panel. This is implemented to remedy some display hardwares not doing too good with my implementation of the V-Sync. So if you experience frame stuttering, you have 3 choices: V-sync ON | V-sync OFF Frame Cap ON | V-Sync OFF Frame Cap OFF
First big update, includes bug fixing and new features! Features:
- Speedrunner mode: you can enable this option in the control options to always show the timer on any levels.
- Blob stickers on the level selection menu: this will help you see where you've already unlocked blobs and where you haven't!
- Inverted Mouse: you can now enable inverted Y axis for the mouse control in the control options
- Exiting the game is not interrupted by focusing out of the game anymore.
- You can't get your balls stuck in the pinball anymore.
- OpenGL is now in 1st priority and Vulkan 2nd in the render API (on Linux)
- Linux render API will now automatically search for the best fit.
- OpenGL skybox in world 3 has been fixed to show better HDR colors.
- Fixed a bug in 5A where the lava road wouldn't generate if you never died once.
- Leaderboard bug has been fixed in the level 3H.
- Kill triggers have been added around the final boss to make the player restart a bit faster.
Continuing the release-day hotfixes! -Fixed a bug where you could select a locked skin and apply it in the skin selection -Added a small direction hint for level 7D -Added more platforms to help you pass the crumbling platforms at the start of the final boss -Disabled the tether ability when going through camera event -Added kill triggers around the start of the pinball level (1E) -Removed the random "m" showing up at the end of your score when rolling up the leaderboard. On a side note I am aware that some players with mid to low tier rig are experiencing some frame drops in physics intensive levels, I have some new updates in the work that are coming!
First update I guess with a bunch of small bugs fixed! -Achievement inconsistency for "World 2" and "World 3" solved. Rockets in 2A, 2B and 2F will not give you the incorrect achievement again. -Small frame drops on gameobject instantiation in levels 3A, 3B and 3C reduced. -Menu bug when reloading the canvas after returning from the level selection fixed. Also I would like to thank everyone who sent me feedbacks and appreciation on here or on social media, you guys rock!
